Another Free Dining Question

So we are currently booked at POR and I know it's excluded from Free Dining. I booked through a TA and she had emailed me this morning saying I could change to CBR to get the free dining but by the time I saw the email it was all booked. And I've been searching all the resorts and it looks like everything is pretty much booked up What are the chances that rooms will open back up (due to people cancelling or changing reservations)? Is it pointless for me to continue searching to see if something changes?

No it is not pointless. I would keep checking because last year the first day the promo was released, the rooms were very limited, however, the next day many more rooms were released and specifically standard. I'm in the same boat, I had wanted to book CBR but only water view or preferred is available with free dining so I booked CSR for now and I will continue checking if CBR standard opens up.

Just have your TA check periodically. Last year's discount inventory was super tight on the day it was announced, but many more rooms were offered in the weeks that followed.

There's nothing available there for my dates currently except the pirate rooms but I'm not interested in that theming at all and it's not worth the extra cost for me but I'll just keep checking I guess.

Thanks, this makes me feel a little better I'll have her keep checking. I'm actually really just hoping they'll extend some room only at POR for those dates as I'd prefer to stay there but I'll take what I can get!

I switched in June last year!! ( I just looked back) had 2 rooms too- so they do open a lot

We switched around also in summer. Went from csr to por. Plus I think alot of agents are putting stuff on hold ( mine did) to give time to confirm. They grab and hold. Some customers keep original or cancel. Like ADRs. They open up

Thank you! I figured stuff like that happened. I was actually a little annoyed because I'm not sure why my TA didn't just hold it until she heard back from me... But that's a different story.
