We usually buy the minimum of days that we plan to use our park tickets, then add days on site if and when we decide to go to the park more frequently. But now I am finding that if I want to make fast pass plus reservations for each day that we may potentially end up in the park, I have to buy my ticket with more days on it initially, so that I can make all of my reservations at the 60 day window. Genius, Disney!

Yes, the comment I made doesn't apply to AP holders or non expiring holders. I'm not really complaining -moreso observing that we have to plan and pay for more than we may use. Good thing the extra days are relatively inexpensive.

Hmmm - marketing genius for sure! Once something is "in hand" (or virtual cart) you're more likely to keep it than give it up. . . ANDthen buying food and souvenirs in park too! Assuming you'd have the will power to do so, though, can't you adjust your ticket days DOWNas well? I can't remember when the last day is you can make those type of changes (probably differs for ticket-only, packages, AP, etc)

Unless you want A&E or are going during Christmas, you can book FP+ same day. There's no reason to buy extra days ahead of time unless you really want to plan the days out ahead of time.
