Another Fastpass Question

Let's say there are two rides I could use Fastpass with. How do I avoid the problem of going to one, seeing the return time is later than I'd like, walking all the way to the second only to find out the return time is even later, and then having to go all the way back to the first? And isn't there also the possibility that the ride with the later return time might let you get a new Fastpass before the other one, but you wouldn't know until you had taken the Fastpass?

as far as I know, you don't. It's a bit of a guessing game really. Although you can make educated guesses at it!!!

Its just not going to be a problem in actual USE.

Splash Mountain and Space Mountain are the two FP attrctions that are the farthest apart in MK (so they would be difficult to "check-out" for FP status at the same time.)

But let's say you go to SPACE and get a FP, walk away and go do anything you want for an hour or so... you should be able to THEN get a FP for SPLASH if you want (you can get another FP at about an hour-interval, even if you have not used the first one).

BIGGEST PLUS:
You can not USE a FP until its first printed RETURN TIME,
BUT you CAN use one that is "EXPIRED" (after the printed "end" time) that same day.

The possible exception to this MIGHT be "Soarin' " or "Expedition Everest" as these rides are VERY popular and the CM's COULD choose to enforce the "end time" (but I personally had NO problems using "expired" FPs on "Soarin' " on a couple of different days this January '06.

1. If the come back time is less than 2 hours away you will know the overall next fastpass time in advance which is no worse than a few minutes after the come back time posted above the area with the fastpass machines.

2. The ride with the later come back time will never have an earlier overall time for next fastpass.

3. During less busy times there may be an individual unadvertised earlier next fastpass time for a particular ride. If you see someone else get a fastpass after you got a fastpass for something else, your time for next fastpass for that ride will be no later than his.

* The overall time for next fastpass has never been more than 2:05 but has been as little as 40 minutes during off days.

I got a FP for Soarin on Tues at 11am. It wasn't usable until 4:35! There goes the 2 hours and 5 min wait to use a FP theory!

pixiedust,
I think seashoreCM was quoting that 2 hour 5 minute timeframe as the time to get a NEXT fastpass, not the return time to use a fast pass. So if your fast pass was for 11, you should have been able to get your next fast pass no later than 1:05.
