I realize fasspass + has been discussed in many many threads. However, it seems it is still evolving. I would like to hear the feedback from the people who visited WDW recently.

Our family is goingto WDW next week and I have linked tickets and hotel reservations on MDE. I also picked fasspass +. The option for fasspass is quite limited. My question is whether we are still able to get the regular fasspass using our tickets?

Thanks!

Nope. Regular (paper) FPs are gone.

I'm curious about the limited FP+ you've encountered. Is it just the limit of three per day? Or did you have issues getting the rides/times you wanted?

The answers to these questions are kept up to date in the thread linked to via the green link in my signature.

Just 3 per day.

Well, this sucks. FP was the only way that we got into popular rides and we used to be able to get multiple FPs for the ones our kids like the most. Why would WDW limit the number of FPs you can get every day? What is so bad about previous FP system that they had to "fix" it?

Some think that when you remove a barrier to acquiring something, you get more usage. As in, if you make FPs easier to get (from your smartphone instead of needing to be IN the park AT the attraction) you get more usage, so you would need to implement caps.

Some believe Disney wants to sell any excess inventory.

Some believe Disney wants to use excess inventory to withdraw discounts as the incentive for staying onsite.

Some believe Disney wants to use excess inventory to get people to stay at the more expensive resorts (more FPs for Deluxe etc.)

Some believe Disney didn't know how this would go over and had to play it safe on the number they started with and will adjust from here.

Nobody who knows is talking.

Do you get more FP when you stay at Deluxe resorts? We will be staying at Beach Club resort and we are assigned to three passes per person per day.

No, at least not at this time.

Remember, this is still all in testing, so it could change, but its 3 FP+ at one park, that's it.

As of right now, no. The limit is 3. This may or may not change, nobody knows. (including Disney IMO) If you trip is next week, then I don't think you will see anything other than the 3 per day limit. Sorry Charlie.

Nope. You get nicer, larger rooms, better theming, and nicer amenities and pools. You don't get any more 'perks' in the parks based on the level of resort you're at.

I find it amazing that people have been able to get multiple FPs, the old ones, for the same attractions. Sure, maybe two..but many more than that? Very unusual. I found that the three allotted, each day, was sufficient. Of course, I didn't travel with my dd, so no huge need to do things more than once. I was able to do some things multiple times though....plan FP+ for later in the day, then get there for rope drop and get to the attractions I really wanted to do, then return and use the FP+.

The one thing that I wish they would do differently is to allow us to choose the 3 FPs in different parks. It would be nice if they added to the 3 they give now as well....maybe 2 in each park per day, per person.

But on the whole, I had no issue with the way it all worked. I was there in early Dec and again last week. I was able to make suitable changes to my FP+ selections the night before I used them....no issues at all.

Well actually, EMH is an "in the parks" perk. So that line has already been crossed.

Also, if you need anything at guest services they will casually ask you where you are staying. Just saying.

As you notice...I did say 'more perks in the parks based on the level of resort you are staying at'....EMHs have nothing to do with what resort you are staying at. Those at the GF don't get to enter MK at 7:30 vs 8:00, like everyone else!
EMHs are an across the board perk, the same for all resort guests.
And when GS asks what resort you are staying at, it isn't to give those at deluxes better service! Does anyone seriously think that's what happens? Because I have to tell you...I have had some pretty incredible service from those CMs when I was staying at Pop or AoA. With lesser service when at BWVs or WL...go figure. Your resort level just doesn't matter once you leave that resort property! (other than how you get to and from the parks).

There are some situations in which what resort you are staying does matter. Absolutely.

The common theme here on the boards is that no "in the parks" perks exist because of staying at a resort. I think I misread what you wrote as that. Sorry about that. As far as EMH, no difference exists with resort levels.
