Another Fairy Tale Package in the Works?

A friend of mine, who reads all those financial magazines, said that Disney did extremely well with the offering of the FTP. He said the magazine said Disney is thinking of offering it again............has anyone else heard this, or have add'l information?

It is interesting that there is an article about the success of the FTP as it is the norm for Disney not to officially release any info about profit/loss, attendance, occupancy.. etc..

I hope they do the FTP again, it gave many people an opportunity to stay onsite for the first time. It gave others a chance to try a moderate or Deluxe resort which was now in their budget.

The only reason we came back this year was because of the FTP. We were planning on Hawaii.

Though we love disney, we've been there tons & are getting kind of "disneyed out". So unless they have a fantastic rate for next year, we'll probably go to Hawaii. If they do come out with FTP (or similar) again, I'd have a hard time passing it up.

As i said on another post, i think the FTP was good for some people. We have been going the last 4 - 5 summers inAugust and ill tellyou, this summer was PACKED. it was like easter!!! I think if they offer it next summer, we may skip a year and stay HOME!! lol. just to crowded and rainy .

We did the FTP in July....it was just the thing we needed to finally get us to WDW!!!

We are going back next summer no matter what so if they do the FTP, that would be great! We will stay even longer!

It would help us too, if the FTP was offered again! It gave my sister and I a chance to stay on property last July and it was great! Being as far away as we are it was a good opportunity for us to stay longer and to see somethings we would not have been able to see otherwise.
We will be back next summer with a group of 8 and even though we know that August is hot, rainy and crowded it is the only time the whole family will be able to be together. I look forward to it.

Me too! I hope the run the FTP again. I wanted so much to take advantage of that this year, but we only get one vacation a year and already had plans to go somewhere else. We are definitely going next year, but the FTP would really help...I'm praying!

So let's all throw out some pixie dust and hope for the best!

If they could put together another package like this past summer, I would go for it.

We definitely are not package people, and we have been getting ourselves to Disney a la carte for the past several years, but the FTP just worked out better that our a la carte prices, so we took it!!

We'd defintely go back next year too for the FTP. Our first family trip to WDW was this past August on a FTP and we weren't planning on going back until 2006 (might as well celebrate my 35th when WDW celebrates their 35th right!) Let's hope it's true! I'll be hitting a Deluxe if it is!
