Our DD is almost 27 months old and is very tall for her age.. She is the size of a 3 year old.. We recently purchased the ProAm Simspson Child Booster Seat... The 5 point harness is for 30 - 40 lbs which is certified for FAA. After 40 lbs it has 3 different heights for shoulder/lap built(this is not FAA certified).. It is pricey ($149).. DH got a new seat on EBAY for $112... It is a great seat.. has lots fo room.. Easy to adjust, has a cup holder which dd loves...

Just wanted to throw another our there!

There are a few car seats (harnesses) that are approved for up to 60lbs. I have one for my son who, at the time I got it, was still too young for a booster, yet beyond the weight for your typical car seat.

They are much more expensive then your normal 40 lb limit car seats however.

I am hoping that since she is only about 32lbs right now we will be able to use the 5 point harness for quite some time!:D She is just very tall, but then again as her mom I am 5 ' 11"!!
