Another Eurostar question..

..sorry!

Am I right in thinking that it's cheaper to book the Eurostar seperately and not add the transport when I book the hotel on the disney site? Are there any disadvantages of booking it seperately? Can you still get your cases taken at the station taken to your hotel or is that only if you book it all thru Disney website?

Also, do all children get a Eurostar goody bag, and whats in them??

Hi, we've went a few times and always booked the eurostar seperate because we normally save about £100 between the 2 of us.

There's nothing you're missing out on, however magic express (where you leave your luggage at the station rather than taking it direct to your hotel) can be purchased seperate if you want it.

Once you know which days you are going and you've booked your train, simply give Disney a ring and tell them you want to add the D.E onto your booking (you will need your train details ).

The other option (which I prefer) is to take your bags yourself to the hotel on the day you arrive and check in. When you leave to go home, simply tell the reception desk your room number and that you want to book the Disney Express for the way home. They will take your bags to the station for you for only 10€ and you collect them as everyone else from the D.E desk If you are saving money by booking separately, it makes sense to save this way too otherwise it's £15 PER adult verses 10€ per ROOM!

We returned on Sunday after 4 days in Disney & travelled on Eurostar. Can't fault the out bound service, but London bound was poor. I'm also sure they use the standard class coaches & run the leisure select service in them. I'm pretty certain our other trips in Leisure select have been in far better coaches, with drinks being offered throughout the journey, not just the once as we experienced both ways.

We loved the Disney Express as we just went straight to the park we thought it was fantastic we did heaps in that afternoon before heading to the hotel to check in.

We travelled to Disneyland Paris on standard Eurostar class and found it fine, on the way home we had upgraded to Leisure select, had bigger seats, drinks came around once and a hot meal. Couldn't really fault either option. EXCEPT in leisure select class we had to walk from coach 9 all the way to coach 2 to change a nappy that was our nearest changing place.
