NOT Michelle, but son Josh who with his wife is expecting #3. They are soooo young, at this rate with another 25 to 28 years of fertility, she just may beat Michelle with the baby count.

I had three in 4.5 years, but #2 beat the 99.9% effectiveness (lol, it was fine, we laughed, and he was meant to be here). #1 and #3 we decided on, and we would have liked one more, but it wasn't meant to be as I was diagnosed with something called premature ovarian failure 3 years after my youngest being born. But we knew we wanted them closer is age, so we were doing the baby, toddler thing at once. And it worked for us and was great. And I was 27 when my oldest was born and 31 when my youngest arrived.

With that said though, so young to have so many kids, every 18 months!! I am not judging, just commenting because I assume they will continue having children-------and surprised Michelle isn't having another. I assume perhaps her days many be done??

Any thoughts??????

Nope no real thoughts... I had 4 with in 8 years and a miscarriage in between.. I was 21 with my first 29 with my youngest.

I guess one could speculate she'll have a lot of kids if she keeps it up, but I don't think 18 months apart is particularly close. It took a year for us, so our kids are 2 1/2 years apart, but if we'd gotten pregnant right away about 18 months apart was our goal. We wanted them close together and would have liked to have had three kids within 4 years.

I don't know. I had 4 in 4 1/2 yrs. I also came from a large family although not nearly as big as the Duggers. They seem to be doing good and they seem to be in love, they are not on welfare and are working. To each his own.

I had 4 kids by age 25. I turned 19 a month after the oldest and was 25 with the twins. I heard all kinds of comments and received all kinds of looks. We are still together and thriving both with graduate level educations. I will not judge these kids.

I forgot to add that I was 24 when I had my 4th.

:rotfl2:

I had 3 in 19 years.
DS #1 was 8 when DS#2 was born. DS 1 was 18 and DS 2 was 10 when DD came along.

I don't have a problem with the Duggers. There seems to be lots of love and they can support their large families.

I also don't have a problem with those who choose to remain childless.
Each set has made a decision that is right for them.

I'm just really glad it's not Michelle. I'm happy for Josh and Anna and wish them a healthy pregnancy.

I'm happy for them!!!

I heard them say in an interview that they are not looking to have a super large family and would be happy with 4 or 5 kids. Maybe they are just having them early and then will be done with it.

I'm happy for them :thumbsup2. I'm not going to judge, their parents and themselves are self supporting and seem to be doing a great job all the way around with their families. We had 4 kiddies within 5 yrs by the time I was 25yo. Altho tough when they were little, teens yrs had no problems and am very proud they all graduated college. Thankfully, as adults they are very close and best friends who would do anything for each other. IMO large families are wonderful...specially the get togethers!

I had my children far apart. I had my 1st at 18 and my last the day before my 29th b-day! Today they are 25,19 and 13! They are different stages in life for sure. I do not judge others for anything. My DH and I got married at 18 and 23 and 25 yrs later we are still together! Love my family :grouphug:

I had two in 18 months. It sure felt close to me! We had infertility with the first one, and then the second one came along with no trouble at all. We've always wanted a third but I guess it's not meant to be.
I too am happy for the young Duggars. I think they're a great family.

We only have one child. I waited 7 years into the marriage to have her and she was the only one we chose to have. No judgement from me. I have a sister who has 2 and another who has 4. People gave my sister a hard time by #3 and a very hard time number 4.

I'm of the camp if you can afford the kids, can educate the kids, enjoy kids, then have at'em. I was perfectly content with 1. I really do not get all the Dugger judgements that happen on the DIS.

Congrats to them!!! I saw them on Anderson yesterday. I get the impression they don't want big family

I wonder if their religion condemns birth control how will they accomplish stopping at 4 or 5?

It just amazes me how they support that family with no government assistance. I only have 1 kid and I seriously scraped together some change to buy a Frosty the other day (payday is Thursday )

I had never heard of these people until the dis, then I read page after page of not very pleasant posts about them. I saw them on Dr. Oz the other night and recognized the name from here. Seemed like some nice, clean good people to me. The lady, who isn't very liked on the dis, was just as nice as she could be.

They follow the "A Quiver Full" ideal... to each their own, the Dugger family is doing great with their kids.
I had my first the month after I turned 21, second was born 25 months later and last was born 15 months after that... they were all girls and we never really had that sibling rivalry thing going on. Now one is married herself and just waiting to find out that she is expecting, they don't plan on waiting long before trying. I think they are just waiting to find out when he is heading out to basic training.
