After my pedicure and the boys' trip to DTD, we came back to Kidani and then headed for DAK. Had a fantastic time and stopped at FTBBQ for a favorite lunch. We decided again to share a few meals with all our favorites so we got the ribs, coleslaw and beans and the pork sandwich and beans. We got these with a large lemonade and two key lime pies.

DH and I really liked the sandwich with the sweet and spicy BBQ sauce. DS had his as just pork with no sauce. He isn't into spicy much The beans were meh.

We have had the ribs before and thought they were okay. Today I don't know what was different, but they were great! DS has recently discovered ribs and he loved them too. Very nice addition to lunch!

I felt really bad about the key lime pie - I love it and so does DH, and I thought DS would like it as well. He loves citrus and tart so I thought he'd enjoy this. Not so much. I wish I had ordered one dessert as chocolate cake. But he made out okay - he ended up with one of these:

All in all, a really great lunch!

Cape May Cafe - a family favorite!

Sorry in advance for the crappy photos...I realized when we got to the Beach Club that I left the memory card for the good camera in my computer so I used the little point and shoot I had in my pocket. I didn't think it was that bad until I saw breakfast and lunch compared to dinner. Argh.

We love CMC. Today as a surprise for DS, we had ordered a Celebration Goody Pack for him, which was waiting for him at the table. He LOVED it! I'll snatch it tomorrow and get a photo - from my memory it is a canvas bag filled with magnetic characters and a magnetic sheet to play with, crayons and a small activity book, a memory card game and a red Mickey straw. It was $10 and he absolutely loved it!

A few notes: the pasta tonight was chicken alfredo - and it was GOOD! The sirloin was very nice and DH had the idea to put it on a Parker House roll for a small steak sandwich - very good! The Oreo bon bons were a family favorite as always...the flan was meh and the apple cobbler was too sweet.

But overall? We love CMC!

After dinner we went over to the Boardwalk for a while and then to Epcot. While at the BW, I took a quick photo of the Flying Fish menu. Looks good!

I would like a Sweet Tomatoes at home for lunches...nice and fresh food! But you are very right about the hectic atmosphere.

How long were you here?

We were in Orlando from the 20th of April through the first of May, but were only on vacation/at WDW starting mid-day on the 23rd.

How do you order a celebration goofy pack? Do you think it would keep a 2 1/2 year old entertained or is it geared for older kids???

Wonderful reviews!! Sounds like FTBBQ is hit or miss with the ribs. I remember from past trips the ribs were fantastic, but we were there a couple of weeks ago and they were just okay. Glad you got them on a good day!

I don't mean to go off topic, but was there a DVC discount on the Peppermint Pedicure? My DD went for a facial, and I asked what they had for me with a discount and the pedicure wasn't listed. I ended up not doing anything, as most of the treatments with discounts were still more than I wanted to spend, and they didn't have any availability for a manicure at the same time as my DD's facial. I was very impressed with the spa, though, and hope to get back there soon!

The only prob I have with live trip reports is that I want ALL the info on everything else your doing LOL!!! I think to myself...they ate at Flametree..were they in Dinoland, what are they going to ride next, did they ride Kali, did they get soaked??? and on & on & on.... LOL I have issues!!!! I ordered it from WDW-DINE ahead of time, but I think you can order it at the podium. There are two to choose from - a smaller one and the one we ordered.

We really love CMC - it's a first night tradition for us every time we stay at the BCV's and we always go no matter where we stay.

You'll love CMC - very good food and a casual atmosphere. I think a 2.5 year old would love the pack, but they also have paper on the tables over the table cloth and pails of crayons for the kids...DS loves it!

You definitely get the discount on the pedicure - and if you buy the polish afterwards, you get a discount on that too

I know what you mean - I always want a TR mixed in with the live DR's! My good camera is my new baby - a Nikon D60 DSLR. I absolutely love it! My other one is an Olympus Stylus - it's waterproof and shockproof so it's perfect in and around the pool, but not so much for food photos..

Here is the gift bag DS got last night - it was waiting for him when we were seated and he was so excited!

It is a canvas bag with a red Mickey straw, crayons, an activity book, a set of memory cards, a magnetic background and punch out magnetic characters to play with on it. He is still enjoying it!
