Another Disney Store validation....

Mickey&Donald...thank you for posting the list up. I'm sorry your store is one of the ones to be closing. :sad2:

You did however make me heave a huge sigh of relief since I thought all the stores around me were closing and now I see that only one NJ store is slated to close and its not anywhere near me so I guess I'm safe for my Disney fix. Thanks again for posting the official list for us. :thumbsup2

You read my mind...I was just getting ready to post and ask if anyone knew what the discounts were right now.

I just placed a big order off the internet, and I was hoping the store wasn't lower yet.

Thanks.

So sorry for everyone whose store is closing.:sad1:

I went to mine yesterday (Braintree, MA) and was chatting with the manager whom I've known for a long time. It is not supposed to close. I worked there for almost 5 years before DS9 was born and I can't imagine not having it around after all this time. Again, my sympathies for those with the bad news and for all the CM's losing thier jobs. A trip to TDS is what keeps me going in between trips to the world. KWIM

All of Western NY is now Disney Store less.. We lost one a few months ago and now te other 3 in our area are closed. I am speechless. I am not even sure how far I will have to go to find the closest store now. These stores have been here for ever and now within a matter of weeks they are all gone:headache:  :sad2: What are they thinking...
Is the one at the McKinley Mall gone? It has been awhile since I have been in there. Considering the volume of people the Walden Galleria has, I'm very surprised that the Disney store there is slated to close.

I'm hearing that all the Pittsburgh stores are closing except for South Hills Village. :( I can't tell you how sad that makes me.

I just was at Robinson yesterday and everything was at least 20% off. She said they will be doing mark downs every Monday. She also verified that South Hills will be the only store in Pittsburgh.

YAY! :cheer2: I am so relieved! Our store was on the initial list, and as I read through the post I saw where some stores were already putting up sign saying they were closing, etc. I had just been to our local store yesterday, and they had lots of new merchandise, etc. so I wondered what was going on. I just saw the second list, and we weren't on that list! I also called the store to double check, and they confirmed they are staying open!!:cool1:

I was just in our local store that is closing and the markdowns are listed as 20-40% off. I thought the prices were a little high still. For example, kids t-shirts are now $6. At their clearance sales in the past or with a coupon, I have gotten t-shirts for $4-$5.

I am hoping that the really good deals will start soon!

The Mckinley store closed a few months ago. I can not believe that the Galleria is closing either. With the business that mall does both US and Canadain shoppers keep that mall packed all the time.

I was a t a Disney store in Columbus, OH area over the weekend (and the guy was clueless ,but thought they were staying open) and the sale was all t-shirts for $5.00. So $6. definately isn't a deal right now.

I noticed the same thing about the pricing of shirts. In our Disney store that is staying open the shirts are $5 but when I visited one of the closing stores the shirts were $6.

My DD is older now and we don't go in the store at the Galleria much anymore, but it is nowhere near the store it was, compared to when it first opened.

Too bad it won't have a chance back under Disney control.

Wow, I hadn't heard about this. I hope ours stays in business, it's the only one around here in the Cincy area.

If you have not heard by now, the Tri County Store and Dayton Store are both closing. Tri County is saying the closest one staying open is Florence KY.:sad1:

yeah im not sure how many disney stores are in CT but a friend of ours that works there said they are closing all of them except one, which is like an hour and a half away:mad:

I think this thread is a better fit here on our Community Board.:goodvibes :goodvibes Danny
