Another Developer Points Question

I have a reservation at SSR in June that I made at the 11 month mark. We just did an add on at AK and received 100 developer points that can only be used at SSR. Can MS reallocate the points and use the dev. points in addition to the SSR points? Can it be done without the original reservation being cancelled and rebooked?

If there is still availability for the exact same thing you reserved, they can cancel the original reservation and make a new one with your developer points.

If there is a waitlist, then no. The developer points that came with the most recent incentive offers can only be used at the 7 month window. If MS allowed those developer points to be "substituted" for SSR points, it wouldn't be fair to SSR owners on the waitlist.

There should not be any danger in losing the reservation if there is still availability. Reservations with developer points have to be done manually. MS will just "save" the days and the special group will take care of actually making the reservation.

It doesn't hurt to call and ask when the 7 month window rolls around.

In your favor - SSR has more Grand Villas than the the other DVC Resorts and June is one of the easier months to get at 7 months. Perhaps some of the days you have reserved will not have a waitlist. Good luck!
