Hi all!

Myself, mom, aunt, and best friend have made last minute decisions to go for F&W this year and we are so excited! We will go oct 22-27 and spend 3 days in Epcot and 1 day at MK/MNSSHP. We are having trouble deciding on which hotel though. Right now we are booked at both to hold the room and the price difference (with 30% off room only) is negligible. We have always dreamed of staying at AKL, and we love the restaurants there. We also want to use magical express and the shuttles. But maybe we should wait for a trip when we are actually going to Animal Kingdom...

On the other hand, the swan is so much closer and everybody says it's best to be in walking distance for F&W! But what is "walking distance" - if it's apparently a 20 minute walk maybe we should just take the busses from AKL anyway? Ahhh! Decisions decisions.

What do you recommend?

I'm so excited!

If you are spending 3 days at Epcot - hands down the Swan.

I would say the Swan! I will also be there for food & wine, and we will be at the dolphin.

The location can not be beat! If you will be spending a lot of time in Epcot, this area is the best! The international gateway entrance is a huge plus as well, as it will spit you out directly into world showcase for food & wine

Remember tho that the swan and dolphin both have a nightly resort charge & $15 now for parking a vehicle as well. The dolphin is usually 20-40$ cheaper per night and is pretty much identical to the swan. If you are flying in there is no free transportation to the swan/dolphin

We like AKL as well, but for food & wine, def the swan!

You can walk to Epcot, but even better you can take the boat, very scenic. We really like the Boardwalk area at night. Since the prices are so close, you should go with whatever resort looks best to all of you. Good luck with your decision.

Crunch your numbers and then decide. When you tack on the fees you could be paying as much, if not more, than BC/YC and Boardwalk. BC is a much shorter walk to Epcot than Swalphin.

We would love to stay at BC or another boardwalk resort but pretty much everything seems to be sold out for those dates! I think you all are persuading me to stick with the Swan, although I will have to number crunch with the fees + $ for transportation from the airport.

Thanks!
