Another DDE ?

I ordered my DDE card on Feb 7. I did receive my Confirmation letter, but still they have not charged my CC and I have not received the cards. How long is it taking? Or am I just being impatient? I don't need them today, just wondering how long I should wait before getting concerned. :confused3
 
Sherry, they've been having LOTS of problems. I would call.

Here's what happened to me. I ordered my card on January 6th. I knew that the wait was from 4-6 weeks so I asked for a confirmation letter to be faxed to me. The confirmation letter expired yesterday. I never received my card. (Our trip starts 26 March). I called yesterday to inquire about the status. I wanted to know if they could tell if/when the card had been mailed. I got a weird answer from Rosa and I asked to speak to the supervisor. She was in a meeting all morning. I ended up writing a quick letter (this is not my first "problem" with confirmation type things for this trip) and faxing it to the Executive Offices. Got a call from the supervisor in DDE. They NEVER processed my request. "They" have no record of my request.

Executive Offices has taken care of this matter. Lots of excuses. Short-handed, lack of training, miscommunication, etc. Bottom line..........they claim they sent me a letter without charging my credit card, without confirming that I have an AP......but they have no record!

Anyway!..........I have a letter coming to me. Card is on the way!

LESSON: They are understaffed and overwhelmed. Check and double-check.
 
They charged my card IMMEDIATLEY! Got the letter, did not yet receive the DDE cards yet. Waiting since January 30th when I renewed over the phone. Since they expanded the DDE to admit all AP holders, they have had a LOT of problems. Disney, [the suits] decided to make the plan available to a HECK of a lot more people, without giving the Disney {the non suits} folks running the program any extra help! Thus, an unbeleivable amount of problems with getting the cards out and even try to figure ou who belongs now! It's been a major snafu.
 
I ordered Jan. 11th. I got the email confirmation in a few hours.
They didn't charge my credit card until Feb 17th. I got the actual cards last week.
 

Sherry~ Thanks for posting your question. I ordered mine on February 8, and have been patiently waiting, but since reading your post, I checked my statements. No charges either! I'm assuming that if I don't call, I won't get my cards for our upcoming (April 2-9) trip. I'll call them today and see what's going on. I guess at this point, we might want them to fax us the letter authorizing the discount. Anyway, thanks again for posting, and thanks to the others who answered!

Definately, you should call. I had ordered mine on 2/17, and discovered people were getting e-mail confirmation stating they had ordered the cards, and they got the list of restaurants, etc. And I hadn't gotten anything. I called Tuesday and they e-mailed me the confirmation right away. I'm not going until 4/17 but I was getting nervous that I had no e-mail.
 
I called January 25th, my card just got charged TODAY! A little less than 6 weeks for me! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo
 
i was told 3/2 they are processing 1/25 orders now. and the CC will not be charged til the order is filled. good luck! :earboy2: :wave:
 
Ugh I have to renew soon. I better get started.
 
I guess I'll wait another week or two to call if I still haven't recieved the cards. At that point, I can have them either fax or email the letter to me. I can't afford to be on hold for too long, since it ties up the phone too much, with my DH working out of the house now. Thanks for the update everyone! :flower:
 
I ordered mine on Tues march 1 for our March 26th trip....Got the email confirmation a few hours later...The best part is they expire April 30...which is after our Spring Break trip next year....So, I might be able to squeak 3 trips out of these cards....which isn't that much since we don't eat out much..but enough that it will save us some cash..
 
Well, I now have to retract my previous post. As of today, 3-3-05, they have NOT charged my card yet. DW checked the statement a little closer, and the $50 charge was from a purchase on our most recent trip to WDW, not for the DDE membership. I have, however, requested an e-mail extending our expiration date since we have not yet received the cards, and they e-mailed a letter extending it to April 30th.
 
I joined on January 24 and my credit card wasn't charged until February 26. I emailed them asking when I "should" expect my card now that my credit card was charged and they said 2 weeks. Monday will be 6 weeks since I joined so trust me it is NOT a speedy process!!! :rolleyes:
