Guests lined up at Guest Experience Team tents across Walt Disney World Resort on Sunday morning as the Disney Genie and Genie+ services experienced a resort-wide outage. Refunds were offered to guests who had purchased the Genie+ service for the day.

THE REFUNDS SHOULD BE AUTOMATIC! Special place in hell for the corporate executive who decided that people who paid money to skip lines will have to wait in hours long lines to get their money back when said skip the line system fails.

Just screenshot the error message in the app and file a credit card dispute.

Why do I have a feeling that the LL changes coming in January will be more about helping the app issues than the guest.

An official date has not been announced. The changes coming in Jan are only to park reservations at this time.
