Another Connections Question

I've already bought a breakfast voucher and 2 Q & C vouchers. I'm planning on going to Beaches & Cream at least once.

For those of you who have used them, where else have you eaten where you've gotten a good deal? I was wondering if you can use them at the AS food courts like for a pizza or something? Also, has anyone used the other vouchers (29.50)? I'm planning on cancelling soon so I'm deciding if I should order more of any of them.

Your best bet is to check out Mousesavers.com's section on Connections and locate the restaurants with an (*), which indicate where you get the "best values" for your vouchers.

Character breakfasts' (generally all you can eat buffets) regular prices are $15.99 adults, $8.99 children. I think the tax is 11%, but have my own doubts about this, Passporter quotes 6% in the 2000 version.

For quick & casual vouchers, only two resort restaurants stand out of the whole long list of places taking them. Neither of those is an AS.

For dinners, go to Deb's website and check out the menu previews to get an idea of what you'd get for what you are paying in vouchers (http://www.wdwig.com/menu/menus.htm#mgm). Add it all up and decide where the deals are.

In all cases, I recommend that you figure out what you'd pay without the vouchers first, adding taxes and gratuities pricing the items that most appeal to you out of the menus.

Just for use in your calculations - the meal tax should be 6%. Accomodations taxes are the 11%, although there can be a 1% variation depending upon what county the hotel happens to be in. If you do this math, as Humpbacks suggests, you will find that indeed there are only a few restaurants where buying these saves you money, but Rainforest Cafe can be one of those. I wish they'd add Coral Reef - I think I could come out ahead there. As it is, I do not plan to buy any, since I am not planning to eat at any restaurant where it makes much sense. It's not worth it to me to save $2 on breakfast. We might get exhausted and cancel our breakfast PS and then we'd be stuck with them.

And from what I've read, WDWINJUNE, meal sharing is absolutely permitted. What they may do though, is restrict you from ordering some of the appetizers and desserts that are served for two.

both with menus and the list of places that take the vouchers. As the others have mentioned the savings can be as little as a $1 or $2 or as great as 50% depending on what you will order and consume. You may share your meal, but some places do prohibit choosing desserts adn apps. that are intended for larger groups to share. If you are sharing, but order an extra drink be sure to tip on the extra amount!
