OK - so as you can see we have a ways to go before our dream vacation. But we are approaching that 90 day mark. I would love for Concierge CMs to make some ressies for me- most importantly the illuminations cruise. But I haven't heard from them, I called the WL today and they said I should get a phone call a week before arrival?! That doesn't really help me. I was then transferred to the concierge desk and they were somewhat helpful (very nice though). He said that I should call IPO(couldn't give me a direct #), but since we have the dreammaker package they might not be able to help. He said if all else failed to call them and they would try to make the ressies.
My question is how do i get concierge to make these ressies for me. I have read about people emailing, people calling and people getting letters in the mail. What is the best and most efficient way to do this?

I hate being confused.:(

Thank You so much for any help. and i promise to stop asking all these questions!!!:D

Gosh, you have been getting the run-around! It shouldn't make any difference whether you have the dreammaker package, room-only, or any other type of ressie - IPO is a perk of staying concierge. I usually do most of my communication via e-mail, as it is sometimes difficult to get through to the Poly's IPO on the phone. You'll be using the same IPO for WL, as they share an office & CMs. I like to call at least once, just to make personal contact. The number/e-mail address I have is specifically for Poly concierge guests, but you could check the WL FAQ thread to see if their IPO #'s are posted there. Did you book with a TA? Sometimes IPO doesn't get your info from the TA, so this might be why they didn't contact you. If you booked directly, you should receive a planning itinerary in the mail. I hope you find the info you need, as the planning CMs are great!

We booked through Disney themselves (via phone not online). And we booked a while ago too. I had expected some sort of mail, the only things we have received have been letters confirming the reservations and telling us when the final payments are due.

I'm going to definatly check out the WL faqs and hopefully get a direct phone number.

Thanks again!

SteveandDonna,

Please provide the Poly Concierge e-mail and phone to me. That would be great. I am staying LVC for a week beginning 11/29/04. A woman named Eileen called and provided me with an e-mail address that does not work. She said I could reach her between 9-5 Mon thru Fri. I would rather e-mail her. Also she left her message on our answering machine and staying LVC was a suprise for my husband. Naturally he heard the message. I told him that an error had been made, as I only inquired about concierge. I said "You know Disney", referring to the mistakes they make at times. Hope he bought it. This is our 1st time lagoon view and the first time concierge. 25th wedding anniversaries are special, don't you think!

Pattymouse Yes, anniversary's are special and the Poly IPO will do their best to help make yours memorable. The e-mail address is:
WDW.Polynesian.Island.Planning.Office@disney.com
They were having some difficulty a couple of weeks ago - mail being returned saying that the address had fatal errors. From what CM told me, this has been an ongoing, though sporadic, problem The phone # is 407-824-2466. You will probably get their voicemail, so make sure you mention the surprise aspect when you leave a message.
There is also a fax # 407-824-3162. Hope this helps!

I received a letter on BW letterhead from the Concierge Itinerary Planning Office (CIPO) along with a form to fill out called Concierge Guest Itinerary. I received this about a month after making reservations for the BW directly with CRO.

I filled it out with PS requests, etc and sent it in by fax as this was one of the options (mail or fax).

I was wondering how long it usually takes to hear back from them? It's only been a few days, but now I'm wondering if I should send them an email? Or should I call the resort's Concierge Desk directly? Or the CIPO? There doesn't really seem to be a standard protocol.

I'm trying to avoid calling them and spend a lot of time on the phone, because I think this is one of the perks of staying at Concierge and I shouldn't have to call long distance. I really think all of Disney should be toll-free ... any other hotel, even the cheap ones, all have toll free numbers.
