Another changing reservation question

We have reservations at the POR for the last week of August with free dining. We are a family of five. My sister booked a seperate room for herself.
For several reasons, some members of my family may not be able to go and this will leave just DS and myself. Would we be able to change my reservation to 2 people, cancel my sisters room, add her to my room and still get the free dining? Final payment is due this week so I really need to make some quick decisions.

You have to do it by day 45! I wasnt sure my dad could come or not. So I needed 2 rooms in my case anyway, but was told I could add him since he would still fit into our rooms (6 of us, 2 rooms ASMo). up to 5 days before arrival. ANd I know you can cancel up to 45 days before without penalty

Thanks....we are getting to that 45 day mark. I better figure out who is going soon.
