Another Carolyn Allen question

My wedding planner suggested that instead of having CA come out to steam my wedding dresss, we actually ship the dress to CA, then they steam and deliver in time for the wedding. Has anyone done this? I am trying to weigh the pros and cons of shipping the dress down, and carrying it with me on the plane!

I did it, and it was FABULOUS! They also shipped my dress back home for me. I loved not having to carry it all over the airport or freak out about where it was going to be stored on the plane.

It cost me less than $25 to FedEx it to Carolyn Allen. They did storage and delivery for $15, and then I paid their cost to ship it back, which was $35 thru UPS. :thumbsup2
 
That is exactly my thought about the airport!

To ship it back, did you have to drop it off at Carolyn Allen, or did they, by any chance, come back to your hotel to get it? We will figure something out. thanks for the input!
 
They picked my dress up when they picked up DH's tux (we left them at Bell Services) - it couldn't have been easier!
 

If you're flying to WDW then I would do the shipping to CA. I'm driving from Miami so it's not a problem to drive it up with me. If I was flying I'd ship.
