I'm taking 4 kids on a 6 hour flight- they will need activites and snacks...
How about :

~Fruit gummi snacks?
~snack food (pretzels, Pringles, etc)?
~DVD player?
~Gameboys?
~Lollipops?

My son has asthma- I have all original packaging and prescriptions...
~spacer and inhaler?
~liquid steroid Meds in 4oz bottle?

All my kids have tickets- do I also need birth certificates? Can I bring copies?

Just so you know... I've been trying to call Jetblue all day to ask these questions and can only get the phone tree!

Thanks in advance for any info or tips!

The only "new" restrictions involve liquids and gels. There's no restriction on solid foods, electronics, etc. As far as 4 oz. of liquid prescription medication in its original labeled container? No problem.

Yes to all.

Also do NOT call JetBlue, they really have NOTHING to do with this.

Try www.tsa.gov for up to date information.

and here's another one... how about Playdoh? I got the Crayola model magic for the plane before the new regs...

You do not need birth certificates unless someone is a lap baby.

Someone reported having their gummi bears confiscated because they are a gel-like substance. Nothing in rule changes from today would change the way they are treated except that you may be able to buy them in the secure area of the airport and carry them on, but then again since they are not technically "beverages," you may not.

But unless your kids will have a fit if they are confiscated, show them to the screener and see if they will let them fly.

Playdoh may also be problematic maybe too much like those dangerous banned substances: pudding and p-nut butter.

Best of luck -- Suzanne

Actually, PlayDoh is a little too much like another banned substance: C4 plastique.

No more modeling-clay, putty-like substances at all for toy use; the only exceptions are toiletries and meds. PlayDoh, homemade versions of same, Model Magic, Silly Putty -- none of them can be carried on anymore.
