After talking it over with my husband he had agreed to let me get a cabana if I can. There are 4 of us in my immediate family, however we are sailing with my extended family, some who would be quite upset if they were not included in the deal. All together there will be 11 if us. 7 adults and 4 kids (ages 1, 4, 10 & 15). Since one of the members is just a toddler I was wondering if maybe they would allow an exception do we can still get a cabana and not upset anyone we are sailing with since 10 are allowed? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks in advanced.

The maximum number on one cabana is 10. And it's my understanding that everybody counts, regardless of age. You have two choices: You'll either need to not allow access for one of your party. Or get 2 cabanas. If you can.

Or could they also have a morning and afternoon shift? When people do sharing of the cabanas, do they have up to 10 in the morning, then same in the afternoon? Not sure if this is possible.

Personally, I'd book the 1yr old into IASWN and invite the others.

The rental is for all day. If you book a cabana, you get wristbands to wear for the number of people who are using the cabana. I'm not sure if you can (or are allowed) to share wristbands. You must have a wristband to access the cabana area.

People sharing a cabana do just that - share. Now, if two unrelated groups are sharing (the total must still be 10 or less), they could decide that one group will use the cabana in the morning and the other in the afternoon, but there are still only 10 people max authorized to use that cabana for the full day.

It has been reported here that one of the new cabanas being built will hold up to 20 guests. That said, my guess is that the price will reflect that and cost at least $1500 based on the the others costing $549 for 4 people and $849 for 10.

In the photo it does appear to be twice the size. The cost will be interesting.

Where did you see the photo? I would love to see.

We were there last Friday but didn't get a close look sadly.
We weren't able to snag one this time.

We are planning on going this July, I have heard about this cabana, just wasn't sure it would be ready in time, plus as hard as it is to get the Cabanas, I wonder how easy/hard this one will be to reserve.

My father is already upset that we chose to sail concierge on this sailing as he thinks we are abandoning him (we are on the dream), but as the price was only $50 more a night per person from what we would normally pay I could not pass up the opportunity to experience this. So if I rent a Cabana and he can't go he will be very upset. But he choose to invite himself and my sister and her immediate family on our already planned and booked vacation, so I know I shouldn't feel guilty but I will.

Thanks for the help, we will probably skip the cabana this time ..

A Cabana for 20 would be perfect for my gang of 19! I wonder when this will be done? We have a regular one reserved but everyone will not be able to use it.

We sailed The Magic in January and had a cabana on SB.
I asked our cabana host when the new ones would be ready and he said before the summer.

We were hoping for last week when we were on The Fantasy, no such luck.
They look close to being done, but we really didn't get a close look.

Right now all 4 ships are going to CC so they have boats 6 days a week.
That only allows one day a week to work on them.

He can use the cabana, if you include him, or add more people on at the going rate.
Not sure if I can mention here where I saw the picture. It was on Facebook from another discussion group
