Another Buffalo Cross border Question-Wait time during long Weekend.

I was planning to go friday night to shop but just realized it will be the american long weekend. We won't be arriving at the border til around 6pm but now wondering if long weekend will result in long waits and not get much shopping done.
OR, would i be better off going on Saturday late in the day instead? I would hate to have to wait so long to cross over that i get no shopping done. We plan on going to Walden Galleria and or Boulevard mall depending on timing.

Has anyone crossed over on a Friday evening of a long weekend?

I have crossed at both times, If you are flexible with the time you can leave,your best best is to call 1-800-715-6722 ( press 2) and get the latest wait times, updated done hourly .... Or check out the webcams for Peace Bridge http://www.peacebridge.com/index.php
Leaving at 6pm doesn't give you alot of shopping time the malls close at 9 and then you have Target and Walmart that are open later...

3 hrs in the mall will be plenty for us, and yes we do Target after the mall closes. But i wondered what the friday border crossing are like on long weekends. I do check the cameras but by the time we leave it will be around 4:30 so between that and the time we get to border might make a huge difference
