Me 37, using Disney to combat a mid life crisis!!

DD1 Emma 12, not quite a teenager but may as well be
DD2 Lisa 8, Butter wouldnt melt.
This morning we are woken at 6:30am, I hit the speaker button on the phone and the whole room is filled with Mickeys wake up song.
Im awake, Lisas awake, Theresa is almost awake and Emma is dead to the world.
Im washed and ready as is Lisa but Emma still hasnt stirred. A quick word with Lisa and moments later Emma is out of bed ready kill her sister, Im not sure what Lisa did but it worked. I calm the room down and everyone finishes getting ready.
We have a character breakfast booked at Crystal Palace later so we forego breakfast. After a quick drink we are all ready to go. Into the car and we are at MK for 8am, its an Early Entry morning. The car parked and everyone sworn to remember the elusive parking space, we make our way to TTC. We have just missed the ferry and so grab the Monorail.
Once at the gates of MK we have our bags checked and we are through to the Kingdom. As we pass through the entrance, the wonderful majestic site of Main Street and the Castle reveal themselves in all their glory. The street isnt that crowded and the sights look great. I love all the window decorations, which are hard to appreciate when the street is crowded but at this time they can be seen in all their glory.
We stroll up Main Street taking in the sights until we get to the hub. We decide to split up until breakfast. Theresa and Lisa head for Fantasyland whilst Emma and I head for Tomorrowland.
TOMORROWLAND
Emma and I go straight to Space Mountain, first we get fastpasses for Space Mountain then we enter the line. We weave our way along the line until we reach the others in the line. We are only a few people away from where the line splits for the two tracks. They are only operating one track at the moment but we are very quickly the next to be seated. Our space rockets enter from the darkness and we are seated, the countdown begins and we are soon launched into the darkness, round the bend and up the up hill, theres a spaceman overhead and we can see stars all around, just to the left and below I catch a glimpse of TTA passing through. The end of the climb and our rocket has accelerated into the void of space, twisting and turning through the stars and we are soon back on Earth and pulling into the landing bay. We exit the rocket and travel the conveyor belt to the surface. On the way we make the usual funny faces into the various cameras that are placed beside the conveyor belt.
After Space Mountain we head over to Alien Encounter. Theres only a 5-minute wait until the next show. The doors open and we enter into another room where we watch the monitors and wait a further few minutes. Then we listen to the various warnings before the inner doors open and we are treated to a great preshow. After the preshow the main theatre is ready for our occupation, but are we ready to occupy it!! I dont want to go into too much detail to avoid spoiling the surprises. The theatre looks very sinister and I can feel the fear in the air, everyone is nervously quiet. We take our seats and I eye the restraints hovering menacingly above us. I look at Emma, her face is white, and I ask if she is ok and she assures me she is. Im not sure I am though.
The lights dim and the experience starts .. Will we live Dont eat me Eat him!!!
With the experience over and my nerves regaining normality we are ushered out of the theatre and into the shop.
We now head over to Buzz lightyear for some fastpasses then over to Space Mountain to use our first set of fastpasses. Another journey into outer space and we are soon back at Buzz lightyear to use our fastpasses.

The line is so short here, we didnt actually need to use the fastpass, but as we have them we may as well use them.
We are met by Buzz at the beginning of the ride
BUZZ
and then we are soon seated in our personal space cruiser and have our laser guns poised, lock and load. We are off to battle the evil forces of Emperor Zurg, he doesnt stand a chance! At the end of the ride I have a sore thumb and a Space Ranger score, Emma manages a Cadet score and is giving me the evil eye for beating her!
Its 10am and getting close to breakfast time so we head off for the Crystal Palace,
Crystal Palace
we meet up with Theresa and Lisa and check in. Theresa and Lisa say they had a great time in Fantasyland, they did the Carousel, Dumbo, T-Cups, Its A Small World, Peter Pan and Snow White twice.
Our table is ready and we are shown to our table. I like the Crystal Palace, its a wonderful setting for a meal, especially a character meal. Our server suggests that we wait before getting our food, as the characters will soon be at our table. True to her word Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger soon visit our table. They stop for autographs and photos and then depart for the next table. We go get our breakfast, its a buffet here and has a great choice of items, theres something even for the fussiest of eaters. The food is hot and excellent quality. The restaurant is starting to empty, we booked a late breakfast on purpose so that we would get a quiet restaurant. With less tables occupied the characters are soon back at our table. This time they spend longer at the table playing with the kids and us of course. The characters return once more before we have finished.

We leave the Palace having had a wonderful time and head over the bridge towards Adventureland.
Weve never really ever wanted to do the Swiss Family Tree House, but as it will let our breakfast settle we decided to climb the tree. There are some great views from the top.

Next Theresa and Lisa go on Aladdin whilst Emma and I watch on.
As we exit the Aladdin ride we see some acrobat performers starting a show,

we stand and watch these for a while then head to the Jungle Cruise but there is a 20 minute wait so we head for the Pirates of the Caribbean, this has no wait and we walk straight onto a boat. Half way round and the ride comes to a halt for about 5 minutes, as much as I like this ride, its amazing how quick you become sick of a certain song, when its played over and over continuously.
After Pirates we had a quick drink from the McD trailer and then got fastpasses for Splash Mountain. Then we wander through Liberty square and onto the Haunted Mansion. There is only a 10minute wait so we head straight in. Lisa decides that she isnt going to like this, I think it is the haunting music that is frightening her. Theresa takes Lisa out of the escape door whilst Emma and I ride. I just love the stretching room and Emma is puzzled when we suddenly have an extra guest in our doombuggy.
We exit the ride then Theresa and Emma experience the ride whilst I sit with Lisa.
Splash View
After Haunted Mansion we head back to Splash Mountain, before entering Splash we get fastpasses for Thunder Mountain.
We enter Splash and the fastpasses really help here, as the normal wait time is 30 minutes. With fastpass the wait is about 5 minutes.
This is Theresa and Lisas first time on splash and Im trying to hype it up for Theresa without Lisa listening or shed chicken out!
We get into the log and away we go, Emma and I are forced to take the front seats.

Wonderful feeling, wonderful day, yes sir!
This is a wonderful ride the scenery and backdrops are very colourful all based on the song from the south. We see Brer Bear, Brer Rabbit, and Brer Fox everybody has a laughing place and if it wasnt for the 5 story drop through the thorns this really would be a laughing place! I love the Jumping fish.
Just as the music is dying away behind us we spot the two vultures we start the climb then there seems a long pause whilst the Log that we are seated in teeters on the edge of the precipice, we hold our breath, why are we doing this? are we going to die? All of a sudden we see the thorns below us, a split second later we are falling at breakneck speed to certain death.
When you have done this before, this is the point when everyone tries to compose themselves whilst the camera has the impertinence to take your picture. Once the picture is taken you can carry on dying!
We miss the thorns and SPLASH, water is coming from all directions, our senses are just returning and telling us to breathe again, we smile yeh new wed survive all the time
After splash Lisa had a smile from ear to ear and wanted to go again. I sensed that this was going to be a long haul around splash. I got a set of fastpasses for Splash then we went and rode Thunder using our Fastpasses.
Back to Splash to use our passes, again Lisa wanted to do it again, so we got another fastpass.
It was getting close to Parade time so we took up a spot and waited for the parade to come by.
This new parade is excellent and I just love the snow globes.

After the parade we head back to splash, we rode Splash and Thunder each twice more alternating fastpasses.
We then headed for Toontown, we rode Barnstormer and then visited Minnies house.
Everyone wanted a last go on Buzz so we head for Tomorrowland to ride Buzz then we leave the park at around 6:30pm
We leave the park having had an excellent day, we take the ferry and watch as the Castle disappears in our wake.
We go back to ASMo to drop off our gifts and then head for the 192 to find somewhere to eat, we thought wed try Captain Nemos. Here we found an excellent mixed meat and fish buffet including Lobster. Drinks and food and tip came to $90 and we were all well and truly stuffed.
Back to ASMo to end the day by the pool.
Tomorrow is Downtown Disney and Disney Quest
