I just spent hours researching bag reviews on this site, but I still don't know what I need. We have 3 kids who will be (13, 8, 5).

I want to carry
3 autograph books (notebooks)
camera - hoping to have a Canon DSLR
chapstick
small tube of sunscreen
moleskin and bandaids
sunglasses
KTTW cards
crystal light singles packets
ponchos

What's the weather like the first week of May? Will I need to bring sweaters for the night shows? I would prefer not to have to carry a big backpack.

Thanks!

Thanks. I'm happy to know I won't need to worry about sweaters.

That's the thread I spent hours reading, and I think I am more confused now than I was when I started.

I am planning on carrying a Thirty One Inside Out bag just because it can be crossbody and it has pockets on each side for water bottles both inside and out. The only thing that would make it more perfect was if it had a zipper in the top.

I agonized over the same bag thread as you and finally decided on the Lesportsac deluxe everyday bag. I plan on carrying the same things as you plus some snacks and a small bottle of Hand sanitizer. I chose this one because the bag itself is very lightweight and it has a comfortable strap that can be worn crossbody or regular style. I'm plus sized so Its not comfortable to wear it crossbody, but I wear it that way on rides. They have various styles and patterns at great prices at Ross & TJ Maxx

Thanks for your suggestions. I like both of those. It's a good thing we are not travelling until next year!

I have a 10 and 12 year old. On the last fee trips they carried a drawstring backpack (i found someone who adds the character appliqué to really great nylon bags and will personalize them too if you want). It helps because if we split up THEY have their autograph book, pennies for their pressed penny collection, Kleenex, small snack, etc. keeps them from loading me down with unnecessary things!

Has worked great for us.

Thanks for your replies. My MIL purchased a baggallini everywhere bag for me, but I don't have it yet. I'm anxious to try it out. It looks a bit like a diaper bag, but I think it could work.

I love the look of the Piazza day bag but I'm not sure it's big enough to hold what I need. I'm thinking of getting one for my oldest to carry her own stuff in (she'll be 13) and then I won't need something huge.

We've always used a regular old backpack-in fact it's the one I used in college! We've found that the 2 shoulder straps are necessary.

I brought this bag to DLR last summer. Worked great, and will be using it at DW in a few weeks. :cool1:

I love that I can carry the water bottle on the outside, and that there are plenty of pockets and zipper spots for my stuff.

Trying to condense everything down to 1 bag. Have been using a WDW cinch bag and a very small cross body purse. Last summer got a little dehydrated because I hated taking the cinch bag off to get to the water bottle. So, after much research, I decided to order the piazza bag last week. Got it yesterday, so of course I had to see if everything would fit. :scared: I have to say that it is a pretty roomy bag and I love all the pockets. The big thing is if the totes mini-umbrellas (2) would fit and they do. As does a water bottle, tickets, small first aid kit, small wallet, small bottle of sunscreen, lip balm, cell phone, hand wipes, travel size hand sanitizer and a small bag of snacks. And there is still room to spare. The main compartment is really roomy. :thumbsup2 Granted, it is a little heavy with all that stuff in there, but it has a wide strap, so I'll be ok to carry it across my body or on 1 shoulder. Plus, it looks really nice. I can't wait to actually use this bag. :yay:

I recently got a Baggallini big sydney (which is pretty similar to the everywhere) and I love it. I used it for a week in Seattle recently and I walked all day with it. Very comfortable and holds a ton. I'm planning on taking it with me in June to DW. I also have a Lug Dodger minibackpack that works really well. My mom is going to carry this or loop it over the stroller.
