Yak & Yeti seems to get good comments - planning to try it for the first time next trip.

Great idea wayne- think I'll try restaurantasorus.
Is yak and yeti a table service?

Hi
Thanks wayne!

I guess I'll have to try somewhere else.
We've never really enjoyed pizzafari.

Yak & Yeti is a good one. Also, if you have children ordering off the kids menu, they have some slightly more interesting choices than the standard kids CS options and there is an option of icecream for dessert for the kids.

Another place to try if you want something simple, but fresh (large portions too) is Tamu Tamu Refreshments. It doesn't operate the full length of the park hours so don't leave it too late in the day. They also do great beverages! :thumbsup2

Unrelated, and not Disney, but there was a rumour on this weeks DIS Unplugged that Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey would be down for rehab 'very soon' in order to change the ride vehicle to accomodate 'larger guests' - just hope it's not down in August for our first stay at Universal...

That would be foolish on their part so I hope they don't. September and November are quieter months, and some schools in the US only go back late in August. The very soon part doesn't sound nice. Why didn't they think of this when they were designing the ride?!?!?

Am hoping (selfishly I'm afraid) that you're right and they keep it online for the summer then do any changes needed come September.

By all accounts lots of people can't ride it, be it due to their horizontal size OR their vertical size :(

Is the outside kiosk counter service?

Thanks

Hi Ruthie

Yes, there is a separate outside counter service restaurant for Yak and Yeti which serves a selection of items that they also serve in the table service such as sweet and sour and lo mein noodles etc. They are sold in little cardboard 'Take out' boxes that you always see in American Shows when they're eating chinese if that makes sense, LOL and iirc from last trip as I passed it, it has a small seating area too however this is all outside (but no birds that I saw!).

They also sell their signature cocktail the Yak Attack...I plan to er, test, that too ;)

Just found this thread with some pics of the food from the Restaurant forum to give you an idea of what it's like :)

Yum yum
