Another attack - This time a shopping mall in Munich, Germany

Only reports are "multiple" fatalities and shooter still on the loose.

I don't remember the mall in question, but I spent more summer days than not at the nearby Olympiaplatz swimming pool at ages 10 & 11.

Just telling my wife that the only mall I remember going to in Munich was when I went to a birthday party at McDonalds. Still not sure if it's the same mall.

The Police in Munich are reporting via twitter in English: "The suspects are on the run." "Please avoid public places."

My son just got back from a class trip to Berlin and we were all happily hearing about it (and I admit it was hard not to worry while he was gone--Berlin and Munich seem like the obvious terror targets in Germany) and then I came online to a barrage of messages asking if we are OK.

I am updating from the Munich Police twitter site. They are periodically updating in French, German and English. They are the ones who said the suspects are on the run.
Tweet from a second ago in French, basically translates to we are looking for offenders in Munich.

Police are doing an excellent job of tweeting information in multiple langagues.

They are asking, repeatedly for no photos or videos of them in action to be shared right now, as that just provides information to the terrorists. People need to think and refrain from posting. Geeze.

best is that Munich twitter feed Gwynne mentioned. Switching to that as it is the most up to date and does not require that I see any live footage that I do not want to see.
