If I upgrade from my tickets when we are there is it good until 12-31-11 or a full year from the date I buy it?

Yep. We have WDW APs that expire July 2. We upgraded to the Premier AP last month in DL and it still expires July 2...which just means I have to plan another trip to DL before July!![]()
Do Dl AP work at WDW?

The Premier Pass is $722.75. I was told they couldn't do the upgrade at Guest Services outside the park, so I had to buy a ticket to get in the park first, which was $76. Once inside they subtracted the $76 and the $520 I had paid for the WDW AP, leaving a total of $126.75 that I owed.
So basically, yes, it's the total amount, less what you've already paid for your original pass. It was totally worth it for us, considering it was about the same cost as a 3 day pass to DL. I'm not sure it would be cost effective the other way around, unless you were planning either a very long trip, or multiple trips to WDW.
I have an AP question. I am wondering if anyone can tell me whether with and AP you get free parking at the hotels in the DLR? Thank you in advance.![]()
Unfortunately no, but if you get a Premium AP (or add the parking option to a different level of AP) you can get free parking in the amusement park lots.

) and say I can use it whenever I want - but I guess I'd have to time the renewal of my pass next year till mid-summer so I can use it 2 years (late summer 1 year, early the next) . Pain since my current renewal date is in November!OUCH! I was hoping it would be pro-rated. My in-laws recently bought a condo in Orlando ( non-Disney) and say I can use it whenever I want - but I guess I'd have to time the renewal of my pass next year till mid-summer so I can use it 2 years (late summer 1 year, early the next) . One option might be to renew to the lowest level of DL AP that will work for you. Maybe you could live with a SoCal from Nov to July? Then in July, don't upgrade; buy a new Premier AP. Let your SoCal expire and that will switch your new renewal date for both parks to July. And for about $240 ($340 with parking), you got more than half a year at DL, if you can work around the block out dates. Best of luck -- Suzanne
