So obviously if this caught your attention you have been going for a while now.

Have the kids gotten bored with it at any point or are they always on board and ready to go? I wonder about that some as I see us going once or twice a year for the foreseeable future.

I've got a 7 and 8 year old. My thought is they will probably start to enjoy it even more when they get old enough to do their own thing sometimes as well....but would like to know your experience. Or anyone else that would like to chime in for that matter. Thanks!

We have a 15 year old DD - have been going since she was 7. She is always ready for a new trip - if it was up to her we'd be there every month! Generally we go 3 times a year for around 9 days at a time.

When we went earlier this year, our son was shocked when he realized he had been to WDW seven times with us. (and Disneyland once) We told him we could just leave him home next time. (He will be in college then.)

It's not as if we don't go to other places. In the last three years they have been 35 states.

It's interesting, and sometimes disturbing, to watch your kids grow and change. My son went from being scared of BTMRR and Splash to doing everything at Disney except TOT. My daughter has gone from being princess crazy with four trips to CRT to being too cool for characters at all.

We did allow our son to have more freedom this trip. He was just shy of his 16th birthday. He had charging privileges on his magic band, free reign of the resort and we allowed him the opportunity to go to a resort by himself if he wanted to. He actually used that at Universal more than at Disney.

Your kids will explore and learn more as they grow older. Some attractions will become their new favorite and you'll have to hear them complain about going on it's a small world or the Haunted Mansion.

Growing up, we went once every year from when I was 7 until I was 18 and I always enjoyed it and looked forward to it. Obviously, what you can and want to do changes as you grow, but it was always awesome!! Some of my best memories as a kid and teenager are from those vacations. We took lots of other vacations too, but the Disney ones have a special place in my heart.

Now with my kids (5 and 7 y/o) we started going in 2014 (WDW 2014 and DL 2015) and we are planning to go back to WDW next April. My kids are totally psyched and already talking about what they can't wait to do again and what they hope they are tall enough to do next time.

I'm thinking we are about to hit that point. My boys are 12 & 9. The 12 year old told my wife that he is excited about going, but thinks this will be the last time he'll want to go. Kind of sad, but time passes on...

We just came back two weeks ago after not being there for 4 years. My kids are 15 and 9. They truly enjoyed the trip! My son says he will always want to go to WDW with us so I don't know when I'll ever get an adults only trip. lol

They want to try Universal next time AND do WDW. They love WDW but they are thrill ride junkies. DHS was DS favorite park and a close 2nd for DD9. It was torture at times to get them to do Fantasyland. :( I love the "kiddie" rides and it brings back memories from when they were small. They huffed and puffed a little bit but after the ride would always say "I remember that ride mom" and have huge smiles on their faces. It almost made me cry after Peter Pan which was our first ride this past trip.

We will go in two years and split our time between Universal on site stay and WDW on site stay.

Also my kids like relaxing time which gives me an opportunity to hit Epcot without them while they hang in the room or at the pool.

We've been going every year since my daughter was 5 (now 11). She still loves it as do I. She even says she wants to go to college in FL so she can go to Disney whenever she wants. Not if that will still be the case in a few years, but for now, she's happy to go.

As an aside, our trips are usually shorter and we go to other places during the year as well. So there is some variety.

My DS also says he wants to do the college program.

i've gone almost every year and sometimes twice a year since i was in the womb. i'm now 29 and i can say that i've never gotten bored and have only grown to love WDW more and more throughout the years

same goes for the rest of my family.

my sister, her DH, and her DD's 7 and 2.5 are going tomorrow (her DS14 will not be going only because he is on the football team and he'd be kicked off if he went which i think is ridiculous but it is what it is)

my parents are going in november (at the age of 68 and 72).

and my other sister her DD16 and i are going in december.

DS, now 12 has been going several times a year since five months and DD, now 10 has been doing the same since she joined our family at age 3. Due to a bunch of stuff, we have not been in {gasp} 10 months and it is killing them. they are counting the days (53) until our upcoming trip.

I am not expecting them to get tired of it any time soon.

DS is 19 and has been going almost yearly since he was 5. He no longer travels with us but he is currently at Disney World with Grandpa. So now my dad and son go to Disney together. This is their 3rd week long trip in less than a year.

DD is only 5. She was just a few months shy of 2 for her first trip. We leave in one week for our trip to Disney World and she asks how many more sleeps at least 3 times a day.

We do travel other places too but Disney is easy and since we're Florida residents often cheaper too. We spent 4 days in upstate NY in wine country and it cost as much as my upcoming trip to Disney.

My kids 17, 15, and 10 love going just as much now as they did when they first went at 3, 1 and 8 months. It has been such a joy watching them grow up as Disney kids.

My sons are 16 and 14 and they still look forward and love going to Disney. We have been going at least once a year for the past 10 years. We travel to many other places but Disney is the preferred favorite. They love it- the past few trips, EPCOT has really grown on them and become their favorite park (which is great for me and DH, since that is our favorite). I know some kids get bored of it and mine someday might too, so we can enjoy their excitement while we can.

We went every other year until about 3 years ago, when I started going twice a year. DS is all grown now and as it turned out he still hit the every other year his last trip but will most likely go at least once a year with me now. He is 34 and still loves going, still looks forward to it and still dreams about it on the years he doesn't go. We also went other places, especially on the off year (single mom took me two years to save to go) we are all scuba divers in my family, DH & I are master divers and DS is an advanced diver so we go other places as well. WDW is for DS and me, DH doesn't go, hates to travel except to dive so DS and I have always taken vacations together since it was just us for so long and DH actually likes the alone time.

Mine and 7 and 9 and have been to either WDW or DL at least once a year, and they still enjoy it. We are able to different things as they grow and mature - so no, they don't love the Winnie the Pooh ride so much anymore, but they are wild for Space Mtn, etc. As soon as my youngest is tall enough to ride everything she wants to at Universal, we will split trips. We do take them lots of other places, though.

I've actually lost count, but my DS7 has been to WDW about 20 times since he turned 1. He loves it. On every trip, though we do our favorites, we always find something new to do. As he has grown, he has become interested in different things and has enjoyed the parks in different ways. We vacation other places, too, but WDW is kind of our "home" trip. It's comfortable and familiar. It's been fun to see him enjoy things like Dumbo and Winnie the Pooh when he was younger and Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain as he gets older. I feel I've gotten to enjoy the parks from such varying age perspectives. I suspect he may get tired of WDW at some point. We will see!

It can be different depending on the child. Our oldest son lost interest at age 14. We continued to take the younger kids and he opted to stay with grandma and grandpa (and not miss school...he's a chemical engineer now lol). DD, on the other hand, is now 14 and can't wait for every trip and is currently planning her future Disney wedding. Our youngest son is 8 and I don't think he'll ever tire of it, as he admits to sometimes crying in bed at night wishing he was at Disney. But...guess who is meeting is at Disney for a week at Thanksgiving?! That 14 year old son who is now 22. Yay!!
