My sister and I go to Disneyland every year, usually in Dec. This year we had to go in Nov instead, so we took advantage of the Dapper Day rate. We enoyed Dapper Day very much. It was wonderful, as always, to be together in a place we love, but it certainly was different from previous years due to family circumstances.
We flew from Sacramento to Long Beach and then checked in to GCH around 10. We were given a room in our favorite spot (near the 3rd floor lobby). It was off-and-on drenching rain our entire trip, but we managed
The Dapper Day expo was wonderful and we had a lot of fun checking out the various booths and vendors.
During our visit, we went through the hotel shops as well as those in DTD, Main St, DCA etc. Lots of cool things! We bought spangly candy-cane skirts to wear over the leggings we'd brought for our picture with Santa in DCA
. The skirts were in the children's section but they worked

For Dapper Day, we went with "Haunted Mansion Dapper," which was not our usual but people seemed to like it. Then, of course, we had to go on the ride. We met a couple of others dressed in HM Dapper and got a pic together.

And believe it or not, in our 4+ days we only went on one other ride (Guardians), in spite of having ParkHoppers. We nearly canceled the trip but we'd been encouraged to go and it did turn out to be a good thing for us to be together. It's so nice when you have a sister like mine! We did manage to eat a lot. At Club 33 we even got to see Santa! I like to pretend to play their harpsichord because Paul McCartney played it once

It was an unusual trip but it was good for us to share the time together!
