Annual Passholders - get ready for Magic Bands

We already have 2 sets from previous trips. Does anyone know if by adding the shipping address these new bands will come with something that shows we are AP holders, so we don't have to bring our pass and band for discounts.

I remember reading they come with a little tagging showing your an AP holder is this true?

I doubt if anyone knows.

I would plan on bringing the card and, of course, your ID, for discounts.

That would be cool if the band had some indication, or maybe passholders could get different color choices! That would be awesome!!

During testing AP were given discount cards to present with photo ID for discounts. These appear to be sent with the MB.

Why do AP holders need yet another card? It's already ridiculous that we can't use our MB alone to get the discount, now we have to carry some new card in addition to our RFID AP cards?

The register system does not have access to your MDE profile and has no way to know if you are eligible for a discount. The register system only communicates with the resort system to allow room charging.

It let me order MagicBands today, but still denied access to FP+.

We let our APs expire in Nov, since I was having a baby in Jan and knew we wouldn't make a trip between Nov and May. We are now going to purchase our APs before the DVC special ends in April, but we weren't in a rush until I found out we may be able to do FP+ and MBs before our visit (offsite and Shades of Green this trip, DVC in Sept). So my question is, if I order the APs now but they aren't activated until May, will I still be able to do MBs and FP selections now? I believe I read that I can use the voucher number, is that correct?

I was able to customize our magicbands today and clicked to have them ship! Finally!

They showed nothing but the normal colors for me.

It has been made clear that you must have other proof of AP or DVC for discounts when making purchases... don't plan on MagicBands having this. Bring your AP card and show it.

Has anyone successfully gotten a magic band with a voucher yet?

We do have them customized for our resort stay and linked to our voucher, but I was kind of hoping to get them seperately as well so I can get different colors.

I just released the MagicBand order for our 2 existing APs, and bought a third AP and linked it, so watching for the ability to order a band for that one.

Well I have had 3 resort/Ap mb and no extra cards yet. Either it's something new related to AP MB or someone got their info twisted.

This article from attractionsmagazine.com shows the passholder slider and the AP discount card. There is also a Black discount card that FL Seasonal Passholders will receive that indicates 'No Parking'. The Gold Discount card can be used to park at the theme parks for free.

I just ordered annuals today for myself and my husband. Does anyone know if I will be able to link to magic bands with only a will call confirmation number? I was told on the phone with then that was my best bet, but wondering if it actually worked for anyone? Going with a party of 12 in June and they all make their Fastpass selections April 9th! TIA

I purchased our AP's back in December for our trip in January. I used the confirmation number to link to our magic bands. I was able to select our FP+ immediately, because we already had an on-site reservation for January. Everything worked fine. I was actually surprised that it went so smoothly.
