I received my annual passholder renewal in the mail today. If I renew now the cost is $298.20 per person. It also indicates that the regular price for DVC member renewal is $314.18. I was under the impression that the discount DVC members received were much larger than this. Is this correct? Also does anyone know if I renew later on in the year (since we are not going back until October) will I still get the same renewal discount. Seems I read this somewhere that you do not have to renew on your anniversary date any longer to receive the renewal rate.

Most of it is correct but considering that the non DVC renewal is $378.08, I'd have to say that it's a pretty good discount. The $314.18 is not the renewal price but the regular DVC member price.

The $298.20 rate is the FL Resident AP renewal price. There is no DVC discount available for that renewal. The regular AP, with DVC discount, is $298.20 (the DVC discount is $75).

A new AP, with DVC discount would be $314.18 ($100 off the regular rate).

If you renew the pass, the new expiration date is merely a 365 day extension of the previous pass- regardless when you first use it. If you won't need the pass for awhile, consider waiting until you do and then purchase a new AP, with DVC discount, for $314.18 with an expiration date 1 year from first use.

Doc, Now this makes sense.

When my DW and I renewed in December, prior to the DVC discount, we paid
$361.04 for the AP. We received the renewal discount. My question is, and I apologize if this has already been asked and answered, when we renew in December of this year (assuming the DVC discount is still available) will we get
$75 off the the discounted renewal AP rate or the regular AP rate. Meaning can the the two discounts be combined? Or do we just go with a new AP and the $100 disocunt? Thanks for any advice! :confused3

There is a DVC discount for AP renewals, see the member website:

The adult discount for AP renewals is $75 compared to $100 for new AP's, so it brings the prices close together. A new AP for DVC members is $314, a renewal is $298, including tax. You can't combine discounts.
