Annual Passholder Rates -- Ever Again?

I have been watching Mousesavers for weeks waiting for a new code for Annual Passholder Rates for sometime soon. I know that it probably won't happen, but when have you all seen or noticed that they come out?

I've grown more......skeptical......about counting on mousesavers for Disneyland updates. Last time I learned about AP rates it was through the message boards; not sure if mousesavers ever got around to announcing AP rates before they were all gone.

I'd just keep an eye on the boards. Hop on it asap if there are any announced.

Ooops. To answer your question, good question. Ever since the 50th began, AP rates have been less plentiful. I know they're not announced far in advance at all -- maybe a month?

By message boards, are you referring to these chat DIS message boards? Shouldn't there be a place where you can find this out as an annual passholder?

Also does anyone know what times of year they usually offer discounts? Is there a standard pattern for the months of the year when they are offered?

There really haven't been a lot of AP rates offered in the past 6 months, or at least not that I've learned about. (However, I no longer live in Southern California, so I'm not getting Disneyland information "first hand" anymore. I'm more reliant on my readers reporting new Disneyland deals to me.)

Disneyland is getting worse and worse about posting AP discounts on the AP web site, so that's not much of a resource.

Frankly I think the 50th celebration has been so successful that Disneyland just hasn't needed to offer any type of discounts. The resorts are sold out all the time.

Are you talking about hotel rates? If so that sucks. I thought AP holders always got some sort of a break on hotel rates.

I called yesterday for our trip in July, and the AP rates is saving me about 10%. Not great, but it's over $200 off on a 4 night stay at the GC.

There is a newsletter that is available both on line and by mail. I've heard mail is not always reliable- some people get theirs, others don't. There is also the ap "dashboard". That week it Easter weekend listed as special rates and to call for details.

There is no reason for them to offer cheap AP rates right now. The hotels are filling up with out. The AP rates arent to make the AP holders happy, and give them a bonus- they are to sell rooms that might otherwise be empty!

That's $200 more than I am saving.

I am curious about it because we will be upgrading our 5 day park hoppers to AP's during our trip in May and plan on making a few more trips this year and next.
