Annual Passholder Question!

I have a question/problem. We have had a S. California annual pass at DL for the past 15 years. However this problem has never come up. We signed up for the special DVC tour of the new suite above POTC on March 1st! However, after looking at the calendar, I realized it's on a Sat. and that's a blockout day. So I thought, well we'll splurge and spend the extra $25 for a Blockout ticket until I looked up on the website and realized it is now $40. There are 5 of us going and that would be $200. I am having a hard time justifying $200 for a peek at the suite but I really, really want to go. So, I researched further and realized that if I had a Deluxe Annual Pass it is not a blockout day, but the price difference is $90. So, my question is, can I upgrade in the middle of the year to a Deluxe AP (we renewed our pass in Dec.)and if I do, is the price difference($90) pro-rated? Has anyone done this? Thanks!

Yes, everything that I have read is that the upgrade to Deluxe will be prorated. So that may be a good way to go?

I'm thinking everything I've read said the price difference is NOT prorated. Can anyone else confirm for sure?

I've never seen anything stating that it would be prorated. My understanding is that you would pay the full difference, no matter how much time is left on your AP. And your expiration date does not change.

got2travel is correct.. You are not prorated and the exp. date does not change. I upgraded in the middle of the year.

This sounds correct. You can upgrade but prorated prices I doubt.

I am going to have to upgrade DBF on that day (I have PAP). do we go to the ticket booths, or guest relations or?

Wouldn't the price difference be $90 per person?
