Annual Passholder Previews REGISTRATION LINK IN FIRST POST-EVENT FULLY BOOKED

My trip starts 8/22!!!!!! Thinking of coming early if I can get in on the last day.

Anyone have an idea of what they might be doing in that week before the official opening?
Media previews for some of the days. I've read media days could start on the 24th. Sometimes a concert promoter reserves extra dates with the venue. The concert sells out fast and extra dates are immediately added. Might Disney add a day or two if the preview books fast?

You get why though. Makes sense for your little family, but many people travel with large groups, and these spaces are small and therefore at a premium. Had to limit things. It actually surprised me a bit that they are allowing two people in but for an adult to accompany a minor they had to.
I understand the reasoning and space constraints, but that should have been thought about in the design process (of designing the space where this would be done).

I am sure the restriction makes sense based on the space in there, but just disappointing. This restriction makes me rethink getting a lightsaber altogether.

There isn't this restriction in the droid depot is there? (At least there, I could see getting my daughter a droid too).

Wouldn’t you need one per kid anyway?

2 lightsabers would be great but they are not cheap and I think a $200 lightsaber for my 6 year old might be a little steep. And my boys share well so I could get away with just 1 and wouldn't anticipate an issue.

My six year old is just thrilled with his $30 lightsaber from the Disney store. Yes, it’s plastic, but it lights up, does the sound effects when you wave it around, and doesn’t hurt anyone who accidentally gets whacked with it. Definitely the superior choice for a six year old, in my opinion! With the obvious bonus of it being $170 cheaper.

Question (that I cannot find an answer to on Google): If it's okay to post here, does anyone have the email address of Disney Destinations so I could add it to my email VIP list?

This was the last email I received for a VIPassholder event!

I really have no interest in the AP link as I’ve already been to DL’s SWGE, have had Blue Milk and Green Milk, and had a beverage at Oga’s.

So, I’m just here to Delete off-topic Resort Posts. 😊

Please remain on topic while waiting for the link to be posted.

So now we know the dates. I can change my trip, or maybe I'll just slug it out opening day. I think I'll wait to see if I can get a reservation for the preview before I go changing my flights.

I only get notified of a new post after I post so got to keep busy!
You get notified of new posts after you VIEW the thread. Posting isn't necessary. Makes some sense, the purpose of the email is to tell you there is one (or more) new posts since the last time you visited the thread.
Don't just read the email, click on the view thread

It’s too soon to be soon!

My guess is a late morning drop. It would be late afternoon in Europe, and early morning on the US west coast, so no one could complain that it was dropped in the middle of the night.

I have no prediction as to day, although I would think a weekday, when they should have full IT support, would make sense (which probably means they wouldn’t do it).

We arrive on the 24th, so the dates don't work for me. But DH has an event he is flying in for at the Swan on the 21st (then flying home, then flying back with us on the 24th). So I'm trying to convince him he should try to get time for this preview while he's there!
