I think I've pretty much accepted the fact that the link won't be dropped this week. Tomorrow is the general public ability to book Candlelight Processional and I expect that will keep phone cms busy for a bit. Then the holiday is on thursday. I'm guessing next week sometime.
Throwing my own guess into the mix, I’ll say next Tuesday, July 9th. A.K.A. 709

We are also struggling. We have a trip planned specifically for the opening in early September. Im not gonna cancel it without knowing whether or not we can get in to Passholder previews. Also the typical planning things like getting off work and travel are not things we can do at the drop of a hat. Cmon' Disney! be a little more considerate to the guests who spend the most time and money at your resort!

I'd hate to wait and lose them, but I also have no need to fly down with nothing planned. The struggle!

Come on now Rob, "no need to fly down with nothing planned"????? There's always a need to fly down and I'm willing to bet that if you think really hard, you'll have something planned :)

That is so true! I may already have some FP+ picked because I do have a resort reservation HAHA

I would honestly have booked the fights without hesitation if I did not just come back from a WDW trip Sunday and have an Oct and Dec trip planned.

DVC members are eligible to purchase discounted Platinum and Platinum Plus annual passes. Are members who purchased those passes, using DVC discounts, excluded? You're right, it's not debatable.

I suppose many DVC members purchase lower priced annual passes with some blackout dates. It kind of makes sense to black out what is expected to be a very popular advance event.

Disney could make any AP pass holder preview a VIP experience. For $$$ you'll get preview access, a light saber and/or droid and maybe even a meal. First offer it as a package including 2 or 3 night hotel stay. Offer just the free preview if there are any left.

Give it another year or so and we might see these kinds of preview packages.
Actually, the only annual pass DVC members get at a discount is Gold. So there would be zero incentive for DVC to purchase platinum or platinum plus unless they travel during Easter or Christmas (the 2 blackout periods).

DVC gets a discount on all passes and renewals.

DVC ran a special last year for Plat Plus APs for the price of Gold. That's what everyone is referencing.

Interesting and appreciate this info. Don’t want to get off topic here, but do not remember this being an option when we purchased my family’s APs last year, and there was no deeper discount for renewing my platinum pass, so I opted for gold at that time as well. A bit disappointed I didn’t know this previously, but glad I know now!

This is my guess as far as preview timelines based on the fact that I know CM start training in the land by July 20th
CM preview Aug 10th through 17th
AP preview Aug 18th through 24th
Media preview/events 24th through 28th
Disney needs to give media advance notice
Do we know if the media dates have been announced? Or when media invites have to go out
