So I thought I read that commenting #stay on the groupme wasn't necessary, that removing people was disabled. But I still see people commenting and seeing people being removed for inactivity. I don't want to be annoying and add to it, but don't want to get booted either. Anyone know if it's necessary?
You will get a notification if you need to reply with #stay.

Agree that they shouldn’t require it for APs as that wouldn’t be fair to local passsholders, but did just want to note that it WAS a requirement for the DVC Pandora previews, so it’s not without precedent. (And we’ve also discussed that a good many local passholders are likely gold or below, so......)
DVC isn't the same as AP at all. Matter of fact, did you even need an AP to go to the DVC events?
I understand and even agree, to some degree, why DVC would need to be there on site to participate.
DVC is 100% different due to the membership required to even have DVC. So I still say it's without precedent for AP events. And that unless they sell an AP that is only offered to someone who stays on site at some point in the future that will never be a requirement for signing up for an AP event.

Nature of the beast. Disney doesn’t give much notice, they sell out lightening quick and so it’s inevitable people will book first, then try and make it work. I may well be one of those. I wish they did a wait list and cancelling would help if you find you can’t make it work. I doubt there are many who book with no intentions of going.
Yup. This is me too. We are arriving on the 30th, on the very slim chance they have a preview on the Wednesday, the 28th, I would book it in a second and then see if we could get 2 extra days off work, change our flights, get a room, extend the dog sitter etc etc etc......

The group still sends out notices that so and so is going to be removed it they don't participate or respond so I don't guess that worked, if anyone tried to charge the setting

But the response is only needed once so easy enough to do

Some people say you get notification, but I never did the first time. I had to rejoin and I immediately responded with #stay and I haven’t had an issue since

The group me chat it’s removed me from and I can’t get it to rejoin me. Any ideas how I fix this please?

Try googling your questions. Or hitting up the support channel for that particular app. Disney fans wont be of much service to you.

It’s refusing to bringing me up the group at all now for some reason!! Nothing in junk
Did you reply in the group? Like say hi or something like that? If you replied, you are removed and unable to get back in. Someone started this to keep it completely clean of chatter and so people only get notifications when the actual link drops. Just watch here, someone will post the link here.

I have the groupme app on my iphone, set up to send me an SMS message. I have seen all the messages of people joining and leaving and saying hi and every version of Stay, exit and so on, in the app and sms message. Not sure what would happen if I close the sms thread. I haven't chatted in it twice, once the day I set it up and once a couple of days later. And I still see all the comments.

Does anyone have additional information about CM previews? Just trying to figure out some insights on date ranges or when this signup will actual happen... We are getting close to the end of another fruitless day of refreshing. :sad2:

It was discussed a few pages back. I don't think it will offer any insight though.

I'm wondering this too. I start my onboarding next week but I suspect I'll be too late to even have a prayer of a chance for those. But, the longer this drags out and the more frustrating it is from an AP perspective, the more my hopes rise for a CM preview.
