Annual Passholder magic bands- no slider

We ordered out MBs for annual passholders and they shipped with a note inside saying that they are out of sliders and they would send them separately once they were in stock. Has anyone had this happen the past month? Has anyone had luck with Disney sending the sliders?

If it helps you feel any better, the slider doesn't do anything. We were all over the parks last week and nobody counts having the slider as proof of AP... I tried a lot because my ID kept getting lost in my crazy bag of kid crap. The nice trick I did pick up was if your phone is handy, you can show your AP ticket in your MDE app and they count that without your ID. Otherwise they want the plastic card with your photo ID.

I received my AP band yesterday and I received the generic orange slider with no year (just like 2016).

I am disappointed because I like to wear my collection of sliders on my lanyard and having two orange ones with no year means nothing to me.

I agree that it is not proof of AP - in fact anyone can buy them on ebay. But, sometimes the fact that I am wearing a slider has triggered the CM to remind me to use my discount card.

My wife's AP MB arrived on Saturday (4/8) with the generic orange slider (says "Passholder" with no year) mentioned above.

Just got AP bands in the mail yesterday with the sliders (generic orange)- glad that they still had some left when I ordered, sorry you haven't gotten yours yet!

I got my AP MB last month with no slider, I like the slider as they help keep my MB on. I wish they would send the slider out to those that did not get one.

do we think that maybe they're changing the sliders since they changed the MB? i don't know why they would but maybe that's why we haven't gotten them? i know it doesn't do anything, but it's the little things like this that make me feel 'special' for being an AP.

We received our AP bands a week or two ago and they had the same card saying we'd receive sliders later. Bummer! I liked the little something special on my band.

I like the sliders for keeping the band from coming Un-done/in-snapped. I understand their position that the sliders can't be used for AP or DVC discount, but you would think that they could code the Band information to show this.

I hate they no longer have the date on them.
We only were able to use once to enter an AP preview thing in DHS.

The only time I've ever seen them just use the AP Slider for AP Proof was a year or two ago at HS when they were giving out the free Star Wars posters to AP holders
