I would like to plan a trip with my dear friend, who for personal reasons needs her own room. TShe has expressed an interest in going to WDW, because she saw the pictures I took from the AKV room balcony I where I stayed 5 years ago. She's an animal lover. I'm thinking of Jambo House since I could be in the DVC room and she could be in her standard room. I'm retiring in 2020 and she is already retired. Like all of you, I've already planned ahead for my 2019 trip.
1. If I book on points for me and an AP discount comes up for rooms, could I book a room for her or would my name have to be on the reservation?
2. Would I still be able to have my DVC reservation if I'm on the reservation with her?
I don't own at AKV so I doubt I'd be able to get 2 studios at seven months out. I'm usually in borrowing mode, so don't know if I'll have enough points for a 2 bedroom which would be almost like her having her own room, she could have the studio section and lock the door if she likes.
We are thinking of going February 1 - 8, 2020. In between MLK and President's Days.
I'm always nervous about bringing a newbie, but my newbies have all been impressed, so far.
