Are annual passes based on calendar year ? If not , does it start on purchase date or activation date for a period of 12 months?
Thanks, then if I understand correctly, if I activate on Nov 22, 2014, it will expire on Nov 22, 2015. Just trying to determine if it would save me money to buy annual pass.
I don't mean to hijack bit I kinda have a question on the same line. When u renew does the renewal date start right then or when the pass is first used again?

thanks Debbie that's what I figured but I thought I would ask anyway. We need to renew in June our next trip is that October. We are definitely going the following October so again we would be out of renewal time I have to think about it I know we're going on the cruise in June 2015 but not sure how many days are spending in Disney during that cruise trip. How much do you save off the DVC price when you do the renewal?Renewals start on the same date. You have to decide if you would rather wait and buy a new AP to get a new date.

thanks. I didn't realize the dvc renewal was 76. Figured it was only 25 or so.Current DVC Annual Pass prices for WDW: The above chart does not include the current limited time promo for a new DVC PAP for $484 plus tax. The promo is valid for purchases made by 4/30/2014 and activate by 1/31/2015.

What is the difference between the PAP and AP?
If I purchase and annual pass now on line for an upcoming trip in the fall, will I be able link my annual pass to my magic band so that I may choose fast pass attractions even though the annual pass year will not start until I arrive in the fall and activate it?
Yes, you can link either the will call confirmation or exchange certificate numbers which will allow FP+ selections. You would still need to visit either a Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location at WDW to exchange for the actual passes and your 1 year would begin upon exchange.
Will we also be able to order magic bands when we link?
You won't be able to order the Passholder MagicBands until after you have exchanged for the actual passes.
Our granddaughter is coming to Florida and wants to renew her annual pass which will be expired before she gets here. I was told she can't renew it because her father (DVC owner) won't be here and they won't honor her renewal coupon! is this right?
