My husband and I will be getting annual passes for my sons 3rd birthday. My son is OBSESSED with Mickey and I'm just wondering if they let you pick your cards. We've never had passes before so I don't know how it works, but do they let you choose? My 3 year old has some developmental delays and will be very upset if he gets anything other than Mickey. I'd really like to avoid a meltdown, but I don't want to seem rude to a CM or seem like I'm demanding a certain character if they just give what they have on hand.

Hi, I don't know for sure about WDW but I was just at Disneyland this month and got an annual pass with three other family members and they all had Mickey, Donald and Goofy on them. Like I said I'm not sure about the ones at WDW but I wouldn't be surprised if they were the same. I bet you could call and someone could tell you for sure. Have a wonderful time.

From what I've seen on some groups and blogs the Disney World passes have either Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, or Donald on them. Maybe they've changed them since then or maybe WDW and DL are different. I'm hoping they either have a group of characters or they ask for your choice. My almost 3 year olds meltdowns can get really bad sometimes and I'd hate for all of us to have to deal with that on his birthday.

We have had AP's a couple of times and have had individual characters on our cards each time. I'm certain that if you ask the CM as you are ordering them they can put the child tickets on the Mickey card. Just make sure to ask before they get started.

We got AP's from DW in August and we were able to choose our own card. There were four different characters to choose from....Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy.

I upgraded to an AP at DHS a few weeks ago. The guy in booth gave me a choice of Donald, Mickey or Minnie he said he didn't have any Goofy's but he could go to the next booth if I really wanted one. I said it didn't matter to me and he started processing a Mickey card to be mine. He stopped halfway through and said a pretty girl like you should have a Minnie one :rotfl2:

Moral of the story, even if they start giving him a Donald one, just ask for Mickey and they should be more than happy to accomodate.

When I upgraded our 5-day tickets to APs on our last trip, the CM gave me the choice and let me pick which family member got which character. I'm sure if when you go to the Guest Relations window to get your tickets, if you say, "Mickey is my son's favorite - can he have a Mickey ticket?" that it will not be a problem.
