If I was to buy an Annual Pass for me. A 5 day hopper plus for DS. Then just buy me a WaterPark ticket.

Would I still come out ahead with AP codes?

If I buy one AP then I could maybe do another short trip the following year. Since I would have 1 ticket paid for.

Just thinking of many options.

Also can you buy AP other than at Disney. And does the AP start when you buy or when you first use?

Thanks everyone for answering my 500 daily questions!

I think that you can only buy APs through disney. You might want to make a ressie at an AP rate before buying you AP to assure that you can get a rate. None have been released for after 7/4 at this point.

Sad thing is I would have to wait or 2005 AP rates. :( But I am just trying to think ahead as I save for this trip. I know for sure I would buy one 5 day Hopper Plus. So I will do that first before I buy any AP

I just am trying to think of how I can make this trip cheaper than it is working out to be. So I guess I have a lot of saving and reading to do on these boards before my trip.

2005 AP rates will not be available for quite some time. We're still waiting for AP rates to be announced for July and August of this year! In fact, there is no guarantee that any will be available for the time that you plan to go. And if they are available, there is no guarantee that the resort and room type that you're planning to stay at will be available with the code because Disney limits the number of rooms available.

Also, you need to remember that there is also the possibility of room-only discount codes that are available to the general public. You could get a room discount without having an AP if the right codes come out.

To budget for your trip, assume that you'll be paying the rack rate for your room. Budget for 5 day PHPs for the both of you. That would be the absolute most that you would be spending for accommodations and admission. The numbers can only go down from there.

As my mom always says, "Hope for the best but plan for the worst."

Yes right now I am planning on paying high for everything! I guess that is why my total budget is at 2515.00 right now. Hoping it comes down to a lower rate.

I am not counting on anything but ME and ME saving money for the trip. I will say now that I have a cute little Disney decorated change can. I love adding to it!

But hoping for pixie dust!! and discount codes.
