Annual passes increasing 6/2/13

I just called MS and was told as of tomorrow a new AP will be $464.00 total including tax. Up $12.00 from today's prices. I was also told that MS computer is not showing the No Expire option on the new prices for park tickets. He checked twice.

DVC AP price increase is $39. Was $425, going to $464.

No expire option is still available. See pricing at Disney Parks blog:

yes. If you don't see the link on the dvc page, go to the regular disney page, login using your DVC user name and password and go to the tickets section. The DVC prices will come up. I just bought 2 APs this way about 5 minutes ago.

Thanks! I was wondering how to get the AP's to show up on the Disney site. I couldn't get it to work on the DVC page.

It's what Woodrow, the CM at MS told me.

That'd be nice if it's true

Somehow I think you're right tho... 464+tax
Oh well.

Maybe they'll do a special again like last time :)

It's $425 plus tax today.... just haven't seen if the $464 is pre-tax or post-tax, bet it's pre like erinom said above.

so what we are saying is no 399 pap for us this year ? :rotfl2: I loved it while it lasted

I renewed my DVC Annual Passes last week at $410 each including tax NOT $425 as you stated above. If it goes up to $464 I really glad I bought them.

Renewal is cheaper than a new AP.
425 is for a brand new AP.

I bought my voucher back in early May (We're not going until October, but I'm a planner). And now I'm very glad I did. :goodvibes

And it was spectacularly easy to do on the DVC website.

DVC AP Renewal rate is $385 until end of today (6/1). As of 6/2, DVC AP Renewals are $394. Prices do not include 6.5% sales tax.

Renewals are now an even better option since those prices are only going up $9, while a new DVC AP is going up $39.

We purchased the special PAP last December ..when I heard the prices were going to go up I called MS and asked if I could get a renewal voucher for a AP, as we didn't want to pay the difference for a PAP, and not use the voucher until December when our passes expire, which is also when we will be returning to Disney.
DVC rep said yes, and I received a renewal voucher number and our credit card was charged $410.10 per person ... this is for a renewal AP...

Since the price increase announcements I've been seeing comments that renewals can be requested 60 days in avance or 30 days after expiration ...given that we purchased our renewal voucher 7+ months in advance were we advised correctly that we will be able to use the voucher in December to renew our tickets for another year (Dec to Dec)?

Thanks!

Im really pissed about the price increases so please let me vent. We have tried to do two long trips at each park (wdw & DL GCV home) and have been getting the premier pass in the past. Now with the price increase its like 4k for a family of 4 on top of annual dues for DVC, on top of payments, not including food and air. We were considering buying resale points so we didnt have to stay in a studio every time but now I am really not sure how the budget is going to go.

Seems to be a feeling that DVC or disney is trying to keep us coming back! More discounts from DVC for DL and Premier passes I hope are in the future!

Yes, the vouchers don't expire. It just means if you want to renew your pass 70 days after your original ended, they would make you purchase a new pass at the new price, not the renewal price. So as long as your AP expires in December, you are fine to renew in December with your voucher.

This is assuming you have a regular renewal voucher not the special DVC ones they sold last year. Those had to be exchanged by this December 31, I believe (although that would still work for you, but it was an exception to the never expire statement I made).

Definitely seems like they are trying to make it enticing for us DVC members to renew our passes!:thumbsup2

On top of all this I read in Bloomberg that Disney was canceling all discounts for CA residents at Disneyland. Said Disneyno longer needs to give discounts.

But with tax, the $95 daily charge for magic kingdom now exceeds $100!
Maybe they will drive up the resale prices for DVC

It hurt, but I called at 10pm last night and renewed 3 passes and got a new one for myself before the prices went up at midnight.

FWIW, via the online ticket store this morning, the DVC AP is $464 plus tax which is $496.16.

Yes the $399 DVC premium AP had to be purchase BY Dec 31 2012 and they MUST be activated by Dec 31 2013.

We weren't planning to go again after our Nov trip until summer 2014. Well that $399 special has us going this Aug for 4 nights, dec for 3 nights, AND summer 2014 for at least week. Needed to rent a few points and chance from 2 br to studio but hey.... Can't beat that deal.

I think the CM I spoke to gave me incorrect information. I specifically asked if I could buy a renewal voucher yesterday at the old prices and he said no, I can only buy a renewal AP within 30 days so I decided to wait since my pass doesn't expire til December 8th. Was this incorrect info?

Also anyone know the new price of an 8 day no expire? CM said computer wasn't giving him no expire option for new tickets. :confused3

Thanks.
