I am sure this has been discussed before but I have not experienced it myself until this trip...

How does Disney think its fair for their annual passholders....

1. a 30 day window for making fast passes
2. only able to make 7 at a time
3. only able to make them 1 day at a time

I kinda understand for people living there but for us out of state visitors it doesn't seem right...I have been trying since my 30 day window and everything I want at magic Kingdom is already gone....

I will say it again I HATE this new fastpass system......

I like making plans but not to have to decide where I am going to be every single minute I am there....

I know it doesn't do any good to complain they will do what they want but I just needed to vent and get it off my chest...I am so disappointed ...

Guess I will have to get up early and run for the seven dwarfs mine ride...but this old lady can't go very fast LOL

Plain & simple - they want you to book an overpriced onsite room. They offer annual pass discounts for rooms.
 
They can't really distinguish between local and non-local AP holders. How could they possibly do that?

You get exactly the same as any other AP holder who doesn't stay onsite gets, I don't see the need for us to get more because we don't live near WDW.
 
I think off-site AP holders should get some kind of priority - their booking window could open 45 days in advance, for instance.

I don't think they really care about return visitors, especially ones who don't stay onsite. They are concentrating on the "once in a lifetime" visitor who drops huge amounts of $$.
 
You do need more if your trying to plan your 2 weeks like they insist you do...

Why wouldn't they know if your are out of state, they know everything about you....that's what the magic bands are for.

I guess it all comes down to selling the rooms....they have out priced us on that, we are staying offsite now..

I am sorry to be so negative...I just miss the magic I used to feel by just going down and deciding what we wanted to do for the day and if we needed to grab a fastpass we could...to much planning ahead for me

 
The truth is, they have your money in advance, and don't see a need to give you an additional incentive.

The 60-day benefit comes at a price. Swan/Dolphin decided to pay for it. The price of the AP would go up if it was included.
 
The booking window was 60 for APs then they changed to it 30.

But yeah, they just want you to book a room.

I wonder if there will be a dropoff in out-of-state AP purchases. The value of it really has dropped since they changed the booking window.

Not that Disney would care.
