If you are an annual pass holder can you book the Dining Plan? I am currently thinking of changing my tickets to Annual Passes since we will be visiting twice in one year but it seems then I can't book a room package which I though meant I couldn't do the dining plan. Is this correct or am I missing something?

You can get the dining plan, but I doubt it would be worth it. I have Florida Resident seasonal passes, and to get the dining plan this trip I had to get a package with a one day regular ticket for each person in the room and on the plan. I was then aloud to add dining. It was fine with me, since I didn't know the dining plan had changed as of 2008. Once I found out there had been changes to the plan, it was actually more expenssive for me to be on the plan. I could have gotten a better deal on room rates and not had to pay for the unneeded ticket, but it was to late for me to cancel.

I would say depending on when you are going, add up the cost of a room at the passholder rate, and then go to allears.net and look at the menus of the places you plan to eat. Add up what you would order, and then see if it is a deal for you to purchase a package with one day ticket and dining or not. Hope this helps.

If you don't already have tickets, book the package for your first trip with MYW tickets (the length of the ticket doesn't matter) and the dining plan. Take the tickets to Guest Services (at one of the parks or DTD; you can't buy annual passes at a resort) and upgrade them to annual passes.

When you get around to your second trip on your AP, then you will have to decide if it's worth it to book the package just to get the dining plan. Usually AP holders booking packages add 1 day base tickets. These tickets never expire, and can be used to upgrade to longer tickets or to renew your AP. But, in order to book the package, you'd be foregoing the possibility of getting an AP room discount (which aren't generally offered on packages).
