If I buy an Annual Pass on line, should I convert the printout in a real "ticket" when arriving at USF ? Where? Thanks

go to guest services

you can call them or email them now and they will reply back to you if you need to go somewhere else to get the ap.

am i reading your question correctly that you ordered the ap online and printed out the voucher or ticket itself?

ap was on tyvek paper before, don't know if they are still going that route presently.

in the past, when you buy the ap online, you get a voucher to redeem for the ap.

you can't use the voucher for the ap benefits so check with gs for converting it.

i have been renewing my ap since 1993 so i'm not totally on top of how they are issuing ap at this point except from info i have read on the boards here.

i know you need a fingerprint down when you first use your ap to enter the park.
maybe what you have is the ap ticket and all you do need is to present it and do the fingerprint when you first use it.

I personally would just order it for WillCall pickup. Use the kiosk and out will pop your AP. Ours are the tyvek/paper hybrid. I got mine from the machine, but DH and DS upgraded at Guest Services, and theirs are the same as mine.

you can get it mailed (fedex) I did that for our 3 APs ($19 international fedex ... ouch) and they're Tyvek

they can't be registered online for AP benefits (register my AP says your AP has expired) it needs to be used at least once at a park's entrance, and only then can it be registered with your online account
validity starts from that activation, and your AP is valid for one year from activation (ours won't be activated until october, even though they've been purchased in february this year. They'll be valid until october 2016 after we activate them in october 2015
but until them we can't use the AP benefits (except for buying the APH rates for hotel which anyone can)

it is stated that a fingerprint scan will be required, but also a government issued ID with photograph might be required in addition to the finger scan, and it is stated that ID will be required for the activation

will call is an inexpensive option, and will give you the same thing as you'll receive through the mail

I chose Fedex, even with the $19 charge because I wanted to avoid any fuss with the will call machines. It usually works well, but I don't work well with machines :p and don't want to spend valuable time at GS

So that's where we stand now on the AP front. Fresh from the new passholder :p

I purchased our APs online in January and just said I'd pick up at WillCall. It took maybe 2 minutes, you just type in your confirmation # and it prints out the ticket. You are told you may need to show photo ID and the credit card you used to purchase but it wasn't required for us. I asked a team member and they said you only need to show ID and CC if there is a problem or discrepancy when going through the entrance.

Oops, I forgot something in my message above. When picking up our APs at WillCall, we did need to not only type the confirmation # but also use our credit card (the one we used when purchasing online) in the machine to get our tickets.
