Annual Pass

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but I will anyway!!

If I purchase Annual Passes for my family, do they go from the purchase date to the following year's purchase date...for example, if I purchase on October 13, 2014 are they good until October 13, 2015????

May be a silly question , just want to make sure I fully understand them!!

If they "activate" or use them on 10/13/14, then yes they are good until 10/13/15. If they purchase them on 10/13/14 and then for some reason don't use them for the first time until a future date then the clock starts ticking from that day when they activate or use them. Make sense?

A little clarification - the clock starts ticking when you purchase the AP or exchange a voucher for the actual AP, regardless of whether you use them that day or not. Some like to purchase their AP the day before their first park visit in which case the AP is active at that time. As an example, you purchase an AP or activate a voucher on 10/13/14, but don't go into the park until Oct 14, the expiration date will be 10/13/15.

If you purchase a voucher, it is not active until you exchange it for the actual AP so some will purchase a voucher months in advance of their trip.

We just bought our first passes! I purchased passes on October 13th (a little after midnight... it was a spontaneous decision!). They are good through October 13th, 2015.
