Annual pass with photopass, not memory maker?

So if I get an annual pass that includes PhotoPass but not Memory maker? What is the difference?

Memory Maker is a specific product that allows downloads of Photopass pictures from a certain period of time.

An annual pass with the Photopass entitlement includes downloads of Photopss pictures for an entire year.

The difference is the time frame.

We Just purchased annual passes and was wondering this as well.

The other thing Memory maker has is Video clips for Seven dwarfs mine train and tower of terror.
And animated photos.

I have the AP photopass and I've gotten videos of the ToT. I don't usually take a lot of pictures at WDW, but I figured since I was already paying for it through the AP, I'd take advantage of the perk. And I've had fun with the pictures. I especially like the magic ones.

We have just the regular AP's (whichever ones those are), and we got the ride video for SDMT.

My wife and I bought our annual passes in May, and then in June our adult children and families joined us for a week in the parks. The cool thing was that all of their Photopass pictures showed up in my MDE acount since they were all linked in. Nice perk.

It gets confusing but Photopass is all the photos and video.. Photopass downloads is just downloading the digital version of those photos and videos. Memory Maker is a flat rate purchase option to access your photopass downloads for a specific time period depending on what you purchased.

So in short, no difference between memory maker or photopass dowloads on an AP except your photos on the AP don't expire in 45 days and you can download them all you want while your pass is valid.

PRO TIP: photos from a past trip within a year might reappear. Note the might, it's not always the case.

Is the Annual Pass Photopass effective immediately upon purchase of the Annual Pass? If you don't advance purchase Memory Maker, I know there is a waiting period before it is effective.

AP photopass should be effective immediately. It may take a few days for the pics to show up (they've been having a lot of problems lately) but once they're there you'll be able to download any going back to the beginning of your pass date. Or as others said, even earlier. My pass began in May and showed pics going back to July of last year (all of which I can download now). And yes, all my videos/magic shots are there too.

Memory Maker and AP photopass are the same exact thing except AP photopass is the full year
