Annual Pass upgrade -> FL Annual Pass?

We just moved to Florida to be closer to WDW (among other reasons) and have about 4 months left on the APs. Can we exchange those for FL Annual Passes to get some extension in time or money back?

Also, will this qualify us for the FL Annual Pass renewal price when the time comes?

Is there any difference between the FL Annual Pass and the National Annual Pass?

Disney will not credit you retroactively for the FL resident discount. Think of it the same as having bought full gate price PHP's and then going back 8 months later with a DC card and wanting an adjustment to the DC price. Can't be done.

Yes but you will probably want to do the renewal in person or over the phone rather than by mail to make sure the CM understands what you need.

One important one...it's cheaper.
