Annual Pass upgrade and discounted tickets questions

We visited Universal for the first time President’s Day week, and upgraded our tickets to Seasonal Annual Passes. I was hoping to make another quick weekend trip back, and due to changing airline schedules and cheap flights, it looks like that is happening much sooner than expected and we’ll be there 3/28 and 3/29. I know we need to upgrade our passes since the seasonal passes are blocked out from US for concerts those days. Is there anyway that can be done in advance?

Also, my parents are coming this trip and will need tickets. I know we can get discounted tickets with the annual passes if we buy them at the gate. Is that usually a better deal than buying ahead of time with Undercover Tourist or another discount site? I find it hard to get a sense of what the discounted ticket cost will be (they’ll need 2 day park to park tickets).

Usually UT is better deal but it is worth checking out. Gate prices used to be $20 more than online prices but I'm not sure if that is still the case. The new website is not clear on that. You don't get a discount on promo tickets.

Thanks so much! I wondered if the higher gate price offset the annual pass savings buying tickets that way. I do wish it were easier to figure out what the price would be for comparison. They don’t really have a need for the current promo since we’re only there for two days and any bonus days would not be used.

Found it!

"Save up to $20 off the gate price on multi-day tickets when you buy online"

I would just buy from UT. Saves you waiting in line at the ticket booths.

Thank you! Sounds like it’s definitely the best bet to just get them ahead of time.
