annual pass through DVC member?

Could I purchase an annual pass through a DVC member in my name? The cost is about $100 less through DVC. Any info on this would be helpful as I am about to purchase an annual pass anyway through the Disney web site.

No, the DVC member discount is only available to members. You have to show proof of membership to pick up the card, and your ID and the address on the membership must match.

One step further, a member can only purchase for their immediately family who live in the same household. So even if they were there with you, they cannot get a pass for you.

thanks for the info--- I figured that you had to have some ID # to prove your DVC membership-- you guys are the best at answering questions!!!
