Disagree here ref DVC members loyalty, we have chosen to spend tens of thousands of dollars UPFRONT to guarentee that we come back for years if not decades. There are those that keep coming back (we returned yearly if not more often for 25 years even before DVC) and probably do spend more money but the only guarentee of their loyalty for the company is for the trip that they have currently paid for as there is no "skin in the game" to ensure their annual return ..... if we are simply a drop in the bucket in the big scheme of things that makes it all the more infuriating that we, if noone else, aren't offered annual passes or in their absence at least discounted tickets.
From what I understand, FL residents comprise the largest group of AP holders, not DVC.
So, we won’t get access to the passes until they do.
Of course, it would be great if they offered us more and I know people hate to hear it, but we didn’t buy expecting to get more. We bought to save over the long term on our stays..and for the most part we do.
All one can do is decide if the current situation with the changes Disney has made..and will make in their leadership..are enough to remain visiting the parks.
We made the choice to buy DVC because we love going. We adjust because going makes us happy and it’s still worth it for us.
ETA. We have made adjustments. We have an owners locker to hold alcohol and things. We eat fewer QS meals than before. We spend less on things. But, at the end, we don’t regret buying or investing in what we have.
